HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Prince Williams / Getty We all know that rapper Blueface and his (I guess?) girlfriend Chrisean Rock are a walking reality show for older people who miss Jerry Springer and younger folks who need a measuring stick for how toxic their relationship is. But an incident that led to Rock’s arrest earlier this month—after she was caught on camera throwing hands at the “Respect My Cryppin” rapper—has given her new clarity and she says her days of domestic violence against her man have come to an end. A reporter for TMZ caught up with the (again, I guess?) couple at the Los Angeles International Airport on Monday and asked what can be done to make their relationship more stable and less like a Bizarro World Ike and Tina situation (my words, not his), to whi...

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Marc Piasecki / Getty One of the armed robbery suspects accused of robbing Kim Kardashian in Paris in 2016 says he doesn’t feel an ounce of remorse for apparently taking “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” to mean “Hold up the Kardashians at gunpoint.” Yunice Abbas essentially told Vice News that Kardashian was just begging to be robbed after being flashy on social media and treating luxury items like they were disposable trinkets. (Never mind the fact that those trinkets are valuable enough to feed a poor family for who knows how long.) Related Stories “I saw one of her shows where she threw her diamond in the pool in that episode of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians.’ I thought, ‘She’s got a lot of money. This lady doesn’t care at all,’ ” Abbas told Vice N...

When people talk about “video games as art” or “video games for people who don’t play video games,” they’re usually referring to high-concept titles that involve little gameplay while focusing on an emotional narrative and well-developed characters. We Are OFK is just that in a lot of ways, except it’s all focused around the origin story of the virtual indie pop band OFK. Created by Teddy Dief (who previously designed Hyper Light Drifter and is also one of OFK’s leading voices), the title developed and published by Team OFK is part Making the Band and part relatable drama, with the episodic narrative coinciding with the release of the digital band’s debut EP. Now that the first two episodes (and EP tracks) are available, SPIN spoke with Dief, Co-Art Director and Character Designer Nafisah ...

[Editor’s note: The following contains spoilers through the Season 1 finale of Nathan Fielder’s The Rehearsal, “Pretend Daddy.”] The ongoing chatter online speculating on how Nathan Fielder could possibly wrap up the first season of his brilliant new series The Rehearsal tended to stick to variations on one theme: that everything we’ve been shown in the previous five episodes was all an elaborate practice session for Fielder himself — a metanarrative red herring in the vein of Orson Welles’ 1973 film F For Fake. Hilarious as that turn likely would have been, it also would have been a cop-out. An easy escape from the broader theme that Fielder and co-writers Carrie Kemper and Eric Notarnicola touch on in Nathan’s voiceover in the final scene of the Season 1 finale, “Pretend Daddy”: “Life’s ...
