Tekashi 6ix9ine, Wack 100 & Akademiks Post Photo of Miami Meeting Online

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Earl Gibson III / Getty 6ix9ine is back to his usual trolling antics with a continued back-and-forth against Blueface. But things are a little different this time now that Wack 100 is involved, with a face-to-face meeting between him and DJ Akademiks apparently taking place in Miami. This past Sunday (July 25th), a photo emerged online of Akademiks, 6ix9ine and Wack 100, who is Blueface’s manager in a heated exchange. The photo is confirmation that Wack did get his wish to sit across the table from the rainbow-haired rapper and ask him what his motivation is for the taunting during a taping of Akademiks’ podcast. Wack 100, who is an adamant defendant of street code in Hip-Hop, had demanded a meeting between himself and the controversial rapper through a p...

Exodus Drummer Tom Hunting Is Cancer Free After Undergoing Total Gastrectomy

Exodus drummer Tom Hunting recently underwent a total gastrectomy (removal of the stomach), and it appears the surgery was a success. The veteran thrash musician is now cancer free, according to a post on bandmate Gary Holt’s Instagram account. Earlier this month, Hunting announced that he would be undergoing the procedure in his effort to battle squamous cell carcinoma of the stomach. A total gastrectomy removes the entire stomach and parts of any neighboring organs affected by the cancer. The end of the esophagus is then attached to the small intestine to allow for digestion. While he must recover and adjust to his new digestive system, the message posted on Holt’s Instagram offers an encouraging outlook: “Tom has been home for around a week now, is doing very well despite the pain, is e...

Robert Fripp and Toyah Take on The Who’s “My Generation” as King Crimson’s US Tour Kicks Off: Watch

Robert Fripp has already embarked on a summer U.S. tour with his legendary UK prog-rock band King Crimson, but that hasn’t put a stop to the guitarist’s viral “Sunday Lunch” performances with his wife, Toyah Willcox. The pair apparently filmed some advance episodes in their kitchen, beginning with today’s cover of The Who’s “My Generation.” Per usual, Toyah goes with a skimpy outfit, this time a white shirt that somehow doesn’t pop all the way open despite being held together by a little red clasp. Vocally, she delivers a raspy take on The Who’s classic 1965 track, adding some additional punk flavor to what could be argued is one of the earliest punk songs ever recorded. Fripp is back to his proper vest-and-tie look, while still sporting the mohawk that he featured in previous performances...

Lil Uzi Vert Set to Become “First Human to Legally Own a Planet”

Lil Uzi Vert is preparing to buy a planet. Yes, you read that correctly. Just one day after we’ve started collectively recovering from the billionaire space race, the rapper announced his pending extraterrestrial purchase on social media. The interplanetary tea was actually spilled first by Grimes, who retweeted an artist’s rendering of the planet in question — WASP-127 b. “This is WASP-127b, a gas giant exoplanet 1.4x larger than Jupiter orbiting a yellow dwarf star (like ours)!” the original space-centric account tweeted, leading Grimes to reply, “Apparently @LILUZIVERT owns this planet – just a heads up.” The Eternal Atake rapper quickly responded, confirming Grimes’ assertion while noting she had actually beaten him to the punch. “I tried 2 surprise everyone…still working on it,” he wr...

Bhad Bhabie Loud & Wrongly Beefs With Lil Yachty About Cultural Appropriation

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Paul Archuleta / Getty A social media chat between rappers Lil Yachty and the controversial Bhad Bhabie got very heated as they discussed the concept of cultural appropriation. The 18-year old personality and recent addition on OnlyFans got on Instagram Live with Yachty on Wednesday (July 21) to vehemently dismiss claims that she’s a racist. “The one thing I’m really, really sick of is the whole ‘Bhad Bhabie is a cultural appropriator,’” she told Yachty. “No. Y’all make these words have different terms to what they even mean. Cultural appropriation is if I was to sit up and say, ‘Oh, a certain race looks ugly with that.’ And then I go do that on myself.” Lil Yachty seemed highly confused, asking her, “Bro, what the f**k is you talking about?” That made hi...
