slowthai’s Third Album ‘UGLY’ is Both In-Depth and Abrupt

slowthai's third album cuts deep. It's harrowing, cathartic, essential... and very much UGLY.From his noisy rap and grime roots to the present day, slowthai's career has never been short of turbulence. However, since his debut album, Nothing Great About Britain -- which is nothing short of a masterpiece -- slowthai has continued to push boundaries while growing his fan base and standing as nothing other than his unapologetic self. This ethos has been encapsulated perfectly throughout UGLY. Standing as an acronym for "U Gotta Love Yourself," it presents a masterpiece in delivering a combination of brash punk vocals, distorted guitar chords, and aggressive lyricism. Tracks like the album-leading "Selfish" lend themselves to be relatable and dark mosh pit-rattlers. Meanwhile, the project-open...

For example, the rapper has been one of fashion's go-to men for recent campaigns; being tapped up for shoots from the likes of Places+Faces, Beats x Daily Paper, Palace x Calvin Klein, and most recently London-based streetwear label, Unknown. And while we haven't been treated to solo music from T since his On The Radar freestyle last year -- and a full-length project since 2021's Adolescence -- we're hoping "Right Hand" could be the start of a fresh burst of music roll-outs that leads to a third studio album...

The MINI GP3 Is the Best Way to Have Fun for $45K USD

The MINI Cooper is a Great British success story. From dominating the race track in the 1960s with a pioneering female driver, (Pat Moss, the sister of Stirling Moss) to defying all conventions with its comical size and sixty-plus years of triumph, MINI’s cultural impact is, ironically, massive.Despite the Leyland-produced Austin Mini and Morris Mini cars finding critical acclaim on the circuit and earning the hearts of a flower power generation, the world had moved on by the 1990s, desiring anything flashier, larger, and more powerful. Subsequently, MINI the brand, as we know and love it today, has been produced under the Bavarian BMW group since ‘96. Obvious controversies aside, BMW transformed the MINI Cooper into a liveable (albeit still relatively small) hot hatchback, destined for ba...

Llainwire is the Bristol-Based Artist Rapping from the Future

Llainwire is a new artist doing things differently from your average musician.Despite their current residence in the UK, nothing about Llainwire – real name Niall Ashley – and their latest musical offerings suggests they are from this planet.Sonically, Llainwire’s music sits somewhere between GAIKA and Palmistry’s deconstructed dancehall, Arca's electronic elasticity and the same energy that Night Slugs’ future-facing tracks did just over a decade ago in clubs across the UK. The effortless blend of genres, quick-witted, multi-lingual bars and transcendental visuals create a turbo-charged melting pot from the future. Whether it’s dropping lyrics in Korean to switching out into scattergun patois flows, Llainwire’s style is free-form, but finessed. What makes the music even more impressive is ...
