The Pitch: Based on the Wally Lamb novel of the same name, I Know This Much is True charts the string of tragedies that surround the Birdsey brothers, Dominick and Thomas (both played by Mark Ruffalo) – identical twins born on New Year’s Eve, 1949, and who seem to have been born to suffer. And they do, through abusive childhoods in the 1950s to the early signs of Thomas’ paranoid schizophrenia in their college years. Cut to 1990, when Thomas, amidst a mental breakdown, lops off his own hand in a public library, a move that gets him institutionalized in a high-security mental facility. St. Vincent, Austin City Limits 2018, photo by Amy Price Damien Chazelle’s new series The Eddy has finally landed on Netflix. But, so has its soundtrack, which is currently streaming over on Spotify. Among the many jazzy selections is the show’s title track sung by the one and only St. Vincent. Temuera Morrison, Actor who Played Jango Fett, Joins The Mandalorian as Boba Fett

It’s the worst kept secret in the galaxy, but Boba Fett did not die in that sarlacc pit. Now THR is reporting that the notorious bounty hunter will appear in The Mandalorian Season 2, and he’ll be played by a familiar face (helmet?): Temuera Morrison, who scowled his way through Attack of the Clones as Boba’s clone dad Jango Fett. At one point, Disney and Lucasfilm were developing a Boba Fett standalone movie, but that project got canned after Solo disappointed. It’s no surprise that they managed to work the fan-favorite character back into the timeline, and indeed, obsessive Star Wars fans will argue that Boba Fett has already returned. (Spoilers to follow, but then, you already clicked on an article with a spoiler right in the title, so don’t complain now.) ...

Weezer Will Appear on The Simpsons This Weekend

Weezer have many accomplishments during their 28-year career, and yet they’ve never achieved the nerd rock dream: being written into an episode of The Simpsons. That changes this Sunday, May 10th, when the California outfit will appear in an episode called “The Hateful Eight Year-Olds”, where they’ll play some recent singles as well as teasing the new song “Blue Dream”. According to a press release, Weezer will voice a cover band called Sailor’s Delight, who supply the musical entertainment on Homer and Marge’s romantic cruise. They’ll play some favorites from The Black Album and Pacific Daydream, but the big news for devout Weezer fans (other than the whole Simpsons thing) is the reveal of the new song “Blue Dream”. It’s expected to be another metal-inspired cut, and will a...

Disney Working on a National Treasure TV Series

Disney already announced they’re working on a third National Treasure film, but it turns out that’s not all the Mouse House has in store for the goofy historical fiction title. In a new interview with Collider, producer Jerry Bruckheimer revealed plans for a National Treasure TV series that would live on Disney Plus. According to Bruckheimer, the TV show spin-off won’t follow Benjamin Franklin Gates, a.k.a. Nicolas Cage, but rather a “much younger” crew equally committed to undergoing made-up, elaborate, risk-riddled plots to save a watered-down version of American history. “We’re certainly working on one [National Treasure] for streaming and we’re working on one for the big screen. Hopefully, they’ll both come together and we’ll bring you another National Treasure, but...

Macaulay Culkin to Have “Crazy, Erotic Sex” with Kathy Bates in American Horror Story

We knew Macaulay Culkin joining Season 10 of American Horror Story would lead to some weird plot twists, but we didn’t expect him having “crazy, erotic sex” with Kathy Bates to be one of them. According to show creator Ryan Murphy, that’s exactly what viewers should prepare for when they tune into the upcoming episodes. The next season of the horror anthology show has already been written and cast. Unfortunately, production is on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, but that didn’t stop Murphy from revealing some details in an interview with E! News. Murphy began by explaining why he cast Culkin in American Horror Story in the first place, citing a love of the actor’s work, both old and new. “So, I have this very, very great insane part. And I asked to speak to him on the phone and he sai...

Saturday Night Live to Air New “At-Home” Episode for Season 45 Finale

Much like everything else, Saturday Night Live’s 45th season was thrown for a loop when COVID-19 effectively shut down the entire world. The cast and crew have twice filled the Saturday night airwaves normally reserved for SNL with “At-Home” episodes, and they’ll do so again this weekend in what marks the season’s finale episode. The two previous “At-Home” episodes have featured celebrity cameos from Tom Hanks, Brad Pitt, Paul Rudd, Adam Sandler, and Larry David, as well as musical performances from Coldplay’s Chris Martin and Miley Cyrus. You can probably anticipate a similarly celebrity-filled episode this weekend, but SNL is of course keeping things close to the vest for now. This weekend’s episode could also mark the final turn for several veteran cast members: in particular, Colin Jos...

Mark Hamill Joins the Dark Side in What We Do in the Shadows First Look

It looks like the Dark Side has finally sunk its teeth into Luke Skywalker, as Star Wars icon Mark Hamill has a guest spot on FX’s What We Do in the Shadows. News of the role first broke back in January, and now we have our first look at the actor in full vampire garb, which you can see below (via EW). Hamill portrays an ancient bloodsucker in an episode called “On the Run”. Turns out his character is owed a debt by Matt Berry’s Laszlo, and he’s risen to collect. For whatever reason, Laszlo isn’t able to repay his old vampire pal, so he goes into hiding. Hamill has been a vocal fan of both the original What We Do in the Shadows movie from Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi as well as the FX series adaptation. Speaking about getting the role, Hamill said, “The whole cast is on...

Tiger King Park Reopens to Huge Crowds Despite Social Distancing Guidelines

Netflix docuseries Tiger King was a perfect storm: ridiculous characters, mockable music, and a release date that caught freshly quarantined Americans itching for something new to watch. This past weekend, the infamous zoo at the center of it all held its grand reopening since closing due to the coronavirus pandemic. Unsurprisingly, fans flocked to the zoo to rub elbows with the villainous celebrities — blatantly ignoring social distancing guidelines in the process. Recently renamed “Tiger King Park” to capitalize on every inch of newfound fame, the zoo was packed with hundreds of paying visitors throughout the weekend, reports TMZ. The demand was so high that a line snaked around the Wynnewood, Oklahoma lot. Allegedly Tiger King Park reopened under “new CDC social distancing and sanitatio...
