How The Hills‘ Kaitlynn Told Brody That She’s Pregnant

Kaitlynn told Caroline that she’s expecting a baby during last week’s New Beginnings episode; Caroline was the first non-family member to find out about the bundle of joy. Next priority: Kaitlynn wanted to figure out the “right time” to tell Brody. And during tonight’s brand new Hills episode, the mama-to-be — who has wanted to be a parent for “so long” and is now one step closer to welcoming her first child with boyfriend Kris — divulged the life-changing news to her ex-husband at the Pratt Daddy Healing Retreat. But before Kaitlynn could speak to Brody at the desert-based getaway, he stated, “I know that Kaitlynn’s pregnant” to Audrina and Jen. “I don’t know from her,” he admitted at a group dinner ...

Netflix Announces New Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy on Set

Netflix is fond of asking if you’re still watching, but during the pandemic the question has become, are they still filming? To keep things healthy and humming along, the streaming giant has announced that it will require COVID-19 vaccines for all cast and crew members in the United States who work in close proximity to a set. Pandemic-related pauses can be incredibly expensive. Just recently, positive COVID tests temporarily delayed blockbuster productions like Mission Impossible 7 and the Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon, and while we don’t have estimates for how much that cost, the production company behind Apple TV+’s The Morning Show recently sued their insurance company to recoup $44 million lost just waiting around. Besides that, mandato...

South Park’s Creators Are Trying to Buy Casa Bonita

It’s no secret that countless local businesses have taken a hit during the pandemic; as it turns out, even being featured in one of the world’s most famous cartoons might not be enough to save you. The creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, are reportedly attempting to buy Casa Bonita, a restaurant that was featured in a 2003 episode of the show. The company that owns the Colorado landmark filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in April, and now Parker and Stone are adamant about keeping it alive. “We want to buy Casa Bonita and treat it right,” Parker told The Hollywood Reporter. “I feel like it was neglected even before the pandemic… We are going to do everything we can.” He added that a possible sale is “in limbo” due to ongoing court proceedings. Casa Bonita is a massive Mex...

Netflix to Catch ‘Em All with Live-Action Pokémon Series

“Netflix, I choose you!” As Variety reports, The Pokémon Company has struck a deal with Netflix to develop a new live-action series along the lines of… gulp… Pokémon Detective Pikachu. The show is in the early stages of development. While few details are known, this adaptation of the beloved video game/card game/anime empire will be helmed by Joe Henderson, who is currently the co-showrunner of the Netflix series Lucifer. Both Netflix and Pokémon have somewhat dubious histories of live-action adaptations. Pokémon Detective Pikachu had enough manic energy to satisfy kids in the audience, but the plot pacing could be frustrating for adults, and it failed to measure up to the likes of Pixar and Marvel in appealing to all ages. Michael B. Jordan Prepping His Own Black Superman Project: Report

It’s a bird, it’s a plane…it’s Michael B. Jordan! According to a new report, the actor is planning to develop his own Superman project with HBO Max. Collider reported the news earlier on Friday that Jordan’s project will be separate from the upcoming Superman movie starring a Black Clark Kent, which is being executive produced by J.J. Abrams. While Jordan was rumored to be putting on Superman’s cape for that movie — the script for which is being penned by Ta-Nehesi Coates — the Creed actor brushed off the speculation at the time, saying, “I’m flattered that people have me in that conversation. It’s definitely a compliment, but I’m just watching on this one.” Instead, his new rendition with the streamer will reportedly focus on the Val-Zod version of the character in a limited series format...

Sean Penn is demanding that every cast and crew member for the Starz series Gaslit be vaccinated against COVID-19. Until that happens, according to reports in Deadline and Variety, the actor refuses to return to work. Gaslit explores the Nixon Watergate scandal through the characters of Attorney General John Mitchell (Penn) and his wife, Martha (Julia Roberts). Penn has a few more weeks of filming to go before he wraps, and he recently left to attend Cannes for the premiere of his new film Flag Day. Now, he may not come back. Currently, the studio NBCUniversal requires mandatory inoculation in “Zone A” cast and crew members: people who work in close proximity to the set. The studio also hosts an on-site vaccination clinic, though it is not required f...

While this wasn’t Kelsey’s first out-of-state dating rodeo (y’all may recall Jacob from Arizona circa Season 2), tonight’s episode saw her elated to be reunited with her beau, who’ll be crashing at her new condo for a few weeks while he gets settled in Sarasota. During a convo with Madisson, Kelsey revealed that Max was initially all about setting up house together — but she wasn’t quite ready. “He obviously was like, ‘I’ll move in, let’s save money!’ But I think it’ll be g...
