King of the Hill in “Hot Negotiations” for Revival Set 15 Years Later
I tell you what, co-creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels are in “hot negotiations” to revive King of the Hill and set it 15 years after the original. There had been discussions around a reboot of the beloved animated series in 2017, but momentum stalled at the time. Former writer Brent Forrester revealed the renewed interest in a recent Reddit AMA after being asked by user vancity screnwriter, “Have you heard any updates as to the possible King of the Hill revival? The executives at ViacomCBS are hankering for toss salad and scrambled eggs, hoping for a revival of the hit sitcom Frasier. As Variety reports, the company is in early talks with star Kelsey Grammer for a reboot that would air on Paramount+, its rebranded streaming service set to replace CBS All Access. Frasier was the Dave Grohl to Cheers’ Nirvana; a spin-off from a beloved cultural institution that went on to outlast the original. Deadline confirmed with sources that HBO is working out a deal to revive the beloved drama as a limited series for its premium streaming service, HBO Max.
