Pete Davidson is leaving Studio 8H. The comedian is poised to sign off for good from NBC’s Saturday Night Live, where he has been a staple for the past eight seasons after joining the Lorne Michaels sketch comedy show as one of its youngest-ever cast members at the age of 20. Oscars Change Rule on How Many Songs From a Film May Be Submitted

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences announced rule changes for the 2023 Oscars, including a big one in the best original song category. Going forward, no more than three songs from any one film may be submitted, regardless of writer(s). The old rule was that “no more than five songs from any one film may be submitted, regardless of writer(s). Dennis Waterman, a stage and screen actor best known for The Sweeney and Minder, has died. He was 74. The actor’s manager Derek Webster told The Hollywood Reporter that Waterman’s wife Pam called with news of his death on Sunday, noting that Waterman died at a hospital in Spain. A cause was not given. The actor was born in 1948 in Clapham, London, and educated at the Corona Theatre School. He began his screen career as a child in 1960 in the drama Night Train for Inverness.
