The Magpies are close to a takeover from PCP Capital Partners, who are backed by the Saudi Public Investment Fund and there have been suggestions that the club could recruit a number of top-class players. Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly and Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho are some of the high-profile names , who have been linked but Bent feels the Magpies should also look into the quality Premier League talent available in mid-table sides. He added to give the example of Bournemouth and highlighted that Ryan Fraser, Callum Wilson and Nathan Ake could be available for purchase, should the Cherries get relegated from the top-fli...

Report: Tottenham keen on 24-yr-old Everton target, star will cost around €30m

Trabzonspor keeper Ugurcan Cakir has been linked with a move to the Premier League this summer. Earlier we reported Liverpool and Everton’s interest in the player. It appears that Tottenham are keen (via Sportwitness) on the player as well. Cakir has done well for the Turkish club and he could be a good addition to Mourinho’s side. Spurs need a quality keeper to push Lloris for the starting berth and the likes of De Bie and Vorm could be on their way out this summer. The 24-year-old keeper could provide competition for the Spurs star next season and then replace him eventually. It will be interesting to see if the Londoners are willing to pay the asking price for Cakir. The keeper is valued at €30m and Spurs might not be keen on shelling out that kind of money for a backup player. That sai...

Report: Everton ready to spend big to land Barcelona-target this summer

According to Quotidiano, Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti is ready to spend big on the signing of Sassuolo winger Jeremie Boga this summer after missing out on him in January. Goal reported back then that the Toffees were willing to battle Barcelona, Napoli, Inter Milan and Brighton for the signature of the former Chelsea winger, and it appears more competition has emerged for his services ahead of the summer transfer window. AS Roma are also interested in landing Boga after he scored eight goals and registered four assists in 25 games for Sassuolo before the coronavirus pandemic halted football games across Europe’s major leagues. Everton want to add quality attacking firepower to their squad this summer as they look to challenge for the top-six, and the 23-year-old fits the bill. Che...

Spurs ready to submit offer for 28-yr-old who is one of the best players in his position

Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly has been linked with a move away from the club this summer. According to Calciomercato (via Sportwitness), Tottenham are interested in the player and they are ready to submit an offer for him. However, the 28-year-old player is keen on a move to a ‘top club’ and the idea of joining Spurs is not attractive enough for him. The likes of Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcelona have been mentioned as his preferred destinations. It will be interesting to see where Koulibaly ends up this summer. He is a world-class defender who would improve almost every team in the world. If Spurs manage to tempt him, it would be a sensational signing for them. Jose Mourinho is a world-class manager and perhaps he could change the player’s mind. It will be interesting to see what h...

Report: Aston Villa and Wolves can sign 26-yr-old target for just £13m this summer

Aston Villa and Wolves remain interested in the Galatasaray defender Christian Luyindama. As per Milliyet (via Sportwitness), the two Premier League clubs will have to pay around €15m (£13m roughly) to sign the 26-year-old defender this summer. It will be interesting to see if Villa or Wolves make an approach for the player in the coming weeks. Luyindama has done well in Turkey and he could be a solid addition for the two clubs. Aston Villa are in desperate need of quality defenders and Luyindama could partner Mings at the back next season. It remains to be seen whether Dean Smith’s side can beat the drop first. They will struggle to attract top players without the lure of Premier League football. Luyindama might be tempted to move to England if a good offer comes his way. However, playing...

25-year-old Chelsea midfielder is keen on a move to the Serie A – Fabrizio Romano

Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is understood to be keen on a reunion with AC Milan during the next transfer window, Calciomercato’s Fabrizio Romano has revealed. The Frenchman joined the Blues from Monaco during the summer of 2017 and he had an average debut season where he struggled to adapt to the pace of the Premier League. As a result, he was loaned out to the Rossoneri last term and he was one of their consistent performers after initially struggling to break into the starting lineup under manager Gennaro Gattuso. Still, the Rossoneri missed out on Champions League qualification by the solitary point and that contributed to the departure of Gattuso while the club could not afford to sign Bakayoko permanently. At the start of the current campaign, Bakayoko returned to AS Monaco on...

According to Calciomercato, Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly is not keen on joining Everton despite manager Carlo Ancelotti’s desire to reunite with him. The Toffees are willing to table a huge bid for his signature, but the Senegal international wants to join a club that play regular Champions League football, and that has handed Liverpool an edge in the race. According to Le10Sport, the Reds are actually in pole position to sign Koulibaly as boss Jurgen Klopp reckons he will be the perfect partner for Virgil van Dijk. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Newcastle United have also been linked with the Napoli star, with the Magpies said to be willing to offer him €12 million-a-year, but their inability to provide Champions League football rules them out. ...

‘It would be a coup’ – Noel Whelan urges Leeds to sign 23-yr-old Bundesliga player

Former Leeds United striker Noel Whelan has urged the club to sign Robin Koch this summer. The Bundesliga defender will be available for a fee of around £10.6million and Whelan believes that it would be a coup for Leeds if they managed to sign him. He said to Football Insider: “It would be a coup. We need defenders, there is no doubt about that. We do not know what is happening with the Ben White situation but it is better to have a backup plan and knowing where else to look so you can fill that void if Ben White does not sign for Leeds United. You need these players [like Koch] in reserve and need to have already held contract talks and agreed a fee so when it does happen you are ready to move straight away.” The Whites could lose Ben White once the season is over and Bielsa needs to brin...

Report: Newcastle plotting summer move for reported Tottenham target

Newcastle are interested in signing the Norwich City full-back Max Aarons. The young right-back has made quite an impression in the Premier League so far and he has been linked with the likes of Tottenham as well. It will be interesting to see if the Canaries can hold on to him beyond this summer. Norwich are likely to go down this season and if that happens, it will be difficult for them to keep Aarons at the club. The right-back is too good for the Championship and deserves to move on to a bigger club. As per 90min, Newcastle are looking at a few English defenders this summer and Aarons is one of them. The Magpies need to improve their full-back options in the summer and Aarons would be a sensational signing for them. The 20-year-old is destined to reach the top and signing him now would...

Spurs need to add more goals to their side and they need an alternative to Harry Kane as well. The Londoners are over-reliant on the England ...

According to LaRoma24 (via Football Italia), Tottenham Hotspur are ready to pay AS Roma’s £25 million asking price for Czech Republic international striker Patrik Schick with RB Leipzig unwilling to meet their demands. The 24-year-old is currently on a season-long loan at the Bundesliga side, and while an option-to-buy clause was inserted in the deal in the event of Champions League qualification, Leipzig want a 50% discount as a result of the financial strain the coronavirus pandemic has put on clubs. Roma aren’t keen on reducing Schick’s asking price, though, and that has given Tottenham and other suitors a chance to swoop. The North London giants are looking to add another striker to their attacking ranks after injuries to Harry Kane and Son Heung-min brutally exposed their lack of dept...
