Arsenal favourites to land Youri Tielemans despite interest from Manchester United

Youri Tielemans has just one year left on his contract with Leicester City, and is expected to depart the Foxes this summer in favour of a move across the Premier League. In 158 appearances for Leicester City since his £40m move from Monaco in 2019, Tielemans has scored 24 goals and added 24 assists to the Foxes whilst lifting the FA Cup in 2021. The 25-year-old Belgian scored the winning goal in the FA Cup final against Chelsea last year, marking Leicester’s first taste of silverware since their remarkable Premier League triumph in 2016. Jesse Lingard: Nottingham Forest Usurp West Ham in Bid for Free Agent

After advanced talks over a return to West Ham broke down yesterday, Nottingham Forest are now said to be in the important stages of securing a deal for Jesse Lingard. The 29-year-old is available as a free agent after parting company with boyhood club Manchester United this summer, and a return to West Ham, where he spent six months on loan last season, looked to be the most likely destination. After we reported yesterday that a deal was imminent, a dispute over wage demands which the Hammers are not prepared to meet, has led to an impasse. This has allowed Nottingham Forest to enter the mix, with the Tricky Reds prepared to offer the midfielder a substantial wage package in order to bring him to City Ground next season. Nottingham Forest have made a substantial offer to sign Jesse Lingar...

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of highly-rated England under-21 star Djed Spence from Middlesbrough on a five-year deal. Spence, 21, spent the 2021/22 season on loan at Nottingham Forest where he helped the Reds gain promotion to the Premier League for the first time since 1999 and became a bonafide starlet. The deal includes an initial guaranteed fee of £12.5m and an additional £7.5m in add-ons as Spence will likely slot straight into Antonio Conte’s starting line-up. He said: “To play in the Premier League and at a big club like Tottenham Hotspur is a dream come true. “I’m just thankful I’m here and I have this opportunity. Everyone wants to play in the Premier League. For a big club, Champions League football and with some of the best players, it’s a privilege to be here. ...

A Shopping List of Strikers Bayern Munich Could Sign to Replace Robert Lewandowski

Robert Lewandowski’s departure to Barcelona was confirmed this week after 12 seasons in the Bundesliga, and as such, Bayern Munich have been tasked with replacing one of, if not the, finest striker of his generation. While replacing a player who scored a breathtaking 344 goals in 375 games is a near-impossible undertaking, it will be interesting to see the type of profile the German champions will attempt to bring in. While the Polish international undoubtedly defined an unprecedented period of dominance in Germany for Bayern Munich, they were right to sell him as he approached 34, even if they were reluctant to do so. £42.5m leaves the hierarchy with a substantial budget to finance a replacement, and while the arrival of former Liverpool winger Sadio Mane will add a serious goal threat, t...

West Ham Close to Agreeing Double Swoop for Jesse Lingard and Armando Broja

West Ham are close to securing two more summer signings with the club looking to bring in former loanee Jesse Lingard on a free, while they are also pushing hard in negotiations for Southampton’s Armando Broja. Just last week it seemed as though Chelsea were reluctant to let talented young forward Armando Broja leave on a permanent deal, with a possible loan deal the likeliest outcome for West Ham. It now seems the Hammers are closing in on a permanent transfer after they tabled a £30m proposal, which is believed to be enough to secure his services. The English-born striker, who represents Albania at international level, spent last season on loan at Southampton where he caught the attention of a whole host of England’s top clubs. With five goals in 15 appearances, including three in his la...

Arsenal are expected to make a formal approach for Manchester City full-back Oleksandr Zinchenko in the coming weeks in the hope of making him their fifth signing of this window. Manchester City are willing to let the Ukrainian international leave this summer should a suitable bid be tabled, and Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has identified the 25-year-old as one his key summer targets. The Gunners look set to miss out on Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez with Manchester United entering the final stages of a deal for the Argentine, and now will instead turn their attention to the Ukrainian captain.
