Burr’s upcoming tour spans 21 shows throughout the US, primarily in the fall. Dead Can Dance have announced new tour dates for Fall 2021. The itinerary is technically a rescheduled North American run that was originally slated to begin in April 2020, but was obviously postponed due to the pandemic. As long as the vaccine rollout goes as planned, the Australian goth/experimental veterans are hoping to kick off the tour on October 1st in San Diego and then travel all throughout the country — and up to Vancouver, BC and Toronto, ON — before concluding in Seattle on October 25th. The run includes stops in Denver, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, San Francisco, and elsewhere, so it’s a pretty comprehensive trek across the Northern half of the continent. This will be the first time the duo of Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard will return to North America since their 2013 ...
Teenage Fanclub have released a new song from Endless Arcade ahead of the album’s April 30th release. It’s called “The Sun Won’t Shine on Me” and it’s an absolutely gorgeous number to brighten an otherwise dreary Monday. Stream it below. This is the fourth song Teenage Fanclub have shared from their upcoming studio full-length, following the lead single “Home”, the downtrodden track “Everything Is Falling Apart”, and the jittery festival-primed song “I’m More Inclined”. Combined, it colors in Endless Arcade as an album that’s equally full of despair, positivity, and a laid-back approach to life. “The Sun Won’t Shine on Me” is a gorgeous, gentle song penned by Norman Blake. Over the course of the track’s three-minute-long runtime, Teenage Fanclub build from shimmering guitar riffs...
With President Biden determined to get the majority of American adults vaccinated by summer, bands are earnestly beginning to look forward to the return of live music. Purity Ring are the latest to announce 2021 tour dates, which they’ve shared alongside the video for their track “sinew”. The song comes from WOMB, the synth-pop duo’s first album in five years that was released just before the pandemic struck. Directed by Toby Stretch, the clip brings back the abstract graphics and costumes that featured in the “stardew” music video, continuing the enigmatic story of the domed bicyclist and their sun-headed sidecar companion. Check out the “sinew” visuals ahead. The clip is sure to get fans hyped for more of Purity Ring’s crystalline sounds, and the band hopes to share them in person again ...
Politically charged rockers Fever 333 have announced a new EP, titled Wrong Generation. What’s more, they’ll support the new release with a virtual tour of major regions across the world. Wrong Generation, due October 23rd, was inspired by frontman Jason Aalon Butler’s experience in several protest marches following the death of George Floyd in the custody of Minneapolis police. The singer spent 13 days in the streets of Los Angeles protesting against racism and police brutality. “This project is art as activism first,” explained Butler in a press release. “I’m talking about what’s happening and what needs to happen. I hope you understand there’s going to be pain in progress. After dismantling and deconstructing all of these things, we can find a beautiful place to be together. For me, thi...
