A newly resurfaced video shows Tim Allen flashing Home Improvement co-star Patricia Richardson in what TMZ describes as a “playful blooper.” In the clip obtained by TMZ, Allen is wearing a kilt. When he asks Richardson how it looks, she replies, “Hangs long, I just wish it was shorter” — prompting Allen to lift up the kilt and Richardson to scream. Richardson told TMZ that Allen was wearing boxer shorts underneath the kilt. “People ask me what was under the kilt when he flashed me, he was well dressed under there, I was just shocked that he lifted the kilt, not by a man in boxer shorts,” she explained. In her new memoir, Pamela Anderson alleges that Tim Allen flashed her on the set of Home Improvement in 1991. Anderson appeared on the first two seasons of Home Improvement as Lisa, Binford’s first “Tool Girl.” At the time of the alleged incident Anderson was 23 years old and Allen was 37. “On the first day of filming, I walked out of my dressing room, and Tim was in the hallway in his robe. He opened his robe and flashed me quickly — completely naked underneath. He said it was only fair, because he had seen me naked. Now we’re even. I laughed uncomfortably,” Anderson wrote in her memoir Love, Pamela (via Variety). Advertisement Related Video Allen denied the claim, saying in a statement to Variety: “No, it never happened. I would never do such a thing.” Love, Pamela is due out on January ...
Just when Tim Allen’s Scott Calvin thought he was out, he gets reined back in. That’s the premise of his new TV series The Santa Clauses, which is set to debut on Disney+ in less than a month. Ahead of its premiere, the streamer has shared another trailer offering a look at the six-episode series. The clip depicts Allen’s character adjusting to life as a normal person after retiring from his role as Santa Claus. “For the first time, I’m going to spend Christmas with my family,” he tells his wife (Elizabeth Mitchell). Predictably, the transition to Calvin’s successor isn’t as smooth as he had hoped. “New Santa is destroying Christmas spirit,” says one of the elves when they sound the alarm at the North Pole. “When the light goes out, it could be the end of Christmas.” Advertisement Rel...
Tim Allen may have been unceremoniously replaced in the new Buzz Lightyear movie, but he’s bowing out gracefully in The Santa Clauses, the Disney+ sequel series to his long-running Christmas comedy franchise. Watch the first trailer below. The preview opens with a solemn announcement from Allen’s jolly, ol’ Kris Kringle: “For the good of Christmas, for the good of my family, I, Santa Claus have decided to retire.” The news doesn’t exactly land with a warm reception from the elves in Santa’s workshop, who devolve into despair and lead their big boss man Mr. Claus to ask, “we have a grief counselor, right?” It won’t be a complete Blue Christmas though as Santa sets off to find his successor. Unlike the 1994 film’s fine-print fiasco that initially caused the unsuspecting Christmas curmudgeon ...
Disney+ has ordered a limited sequel series to Tim Allen’s Santa Clause film trilogy. Allen himself will reprise his role as Scott Calvin in the forthcoming project, which is slated to go into production this spring. In the series, Allen’s Scott Calvin “is on the brink of his 65th birthday and realizing that he can’t be Santa forever,” reads the official logline. “He’s starting to lose a step in his Santa duties, and more importantly, he’s got a family who could benefit from a life in the normal world, especially his two kids who have grown up at the pole.” “With a lot of elves, children, and family to please, Scott sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa while preparing his family for a new adventure in a life south of the pole.” Advertisement Related Video Jack Burditt (30 Rock, Mo...
Tim Allen may still be dreaming of a Home Improvement reboot, but in the meantime he’s working on the next best thing: a spin-off reality TV series. According to TVLine, a building-themed competition show is in the works, and both Allen and Richard “Al Borland” Karn are onboard. The TV series, tentatively called Assembly Required, will spotlight talented builders nationwide as they “compete to breathe new life into everyday household items in desperate need of fixing” from the comfort of their home workshops. The show will consist of 10 episodes and is aiming for a 2021 premiere date. Karn will host while also executive producing alongside Allen. Announcing the show in a statement, Allen said, “Let’s face it — we’re living in a throwaway society. We buy, break, replace… rinse and repe...
