Joshua Jackson to Star in Fatal Attraction TV Remake

Back in November, Paramount+ announced a remake of Fatal Attraction that’ll build the 1987 psychosexual thriller into an episodic series. Today, the studio announced that they’ve found their Dan Gallagher in Joshua Jackson. Jackson will star opposite Lizzy Caplan as Alex, a woman who becomes obsessed with Dan, a successful and married lawyer, after the two have a brief affair. With the added airtime that a limited series allows, the Fatal Attraction remake has been described as “a deep-dive reimagining of the classic psychosexual thriller and ’80s cultural touchstone [that] will explore fatal attraction and the timeless themes of marriage and infidelity, through the lens of modern attitudes towards strong women, personality disorders, and coercive control.” Alexandra Cunning...

Timbaland Posts Quincy Jones Meme Meant To Be Inspirational, Twitter Thinks Otherwise

HipHopWired Featured Video CLOSE Source: Gai Terrell / Getty Timbaland is getting off to a roaring start in 2022 in regards to controversial hot takes. After comparing The Weeknd’s latest album to one of the best albums of all time, the Virginia producer shared a meme regarding Quincy Jones that was meant to be inspirational but Twitter clowned it instead. As noted by Twitter, which kicked off the latest flurrying of replies, the meme Timbaland shared can be viewed below. On its own, one could see how Timbland’s sharing of this post was a bid to give some encouragement to those who feel like their grind hasn’t paid off. However, what Timbaland and many of his famous pals failed to note in the comments, Jones was a long-established producer, songwriter, and musician long before he helped Mi...

Timbaland Compares The Weeknd’s New Album To Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ & He’s Dead Serious

HipHopWired Featured Video CLOSE Source: Axelle/Bauer-Griffin / Getty Music production master Timbaland is really feeling The Weeknd’s new album Dawn FM a little bit too much after dropping this scorching hot take. Timbaland was out here in these innanet streets proclaiming The Weeknd’s new album is comparable to arguably the best pop album of all time and indeed the best-selling album of any genre—Michael Jackson’s Thriller. (OK, technically, the Eagles’ greatest hits album surpassed Thriller in sales in 2018, but since that album was released in1976, which is six years before MJ’s 1982 classic dropped, I’m still giving the King of Pop his crown.) “This album different, yo. This shi** right here, this on some Thriller sh**,” the Verzus co-creator said in a video originally poste...

Jennifer Carpenter Returning for Showtime’s Dexter Revival

Good news for Dexter fans: Debra Morgan is returning from the dead. Sort of. After her character was infamously killed off in Dexter’s 2013 series finale, Jennifer Carpenter is reprising her role for Showtime’s upcoming revival of the serial killer drama. If you’ll recall (spoiler), Deb was murdered by serial killer Oliver Saxon in the final episode of Dexter’s original iteration, which prompted some critics to call it “the worst series finale ever.” Helmed by original showrunner Clyde Phillips, Showtime’s 10-episode revival of Dexter occurs nearly a decade after where we left off, with the titular character now living under an anonymous alias in a fictional Upstate New York town. Michael C. Hall will be returning as the show’s protagonist, with Clancy Brown, Julia Jones, Alano Miller, Joh...

Stay tuned here for more info as we hear about it. Though it’s been over a year since the W...

Ranking John Carpenter: Every Movie from Worst to Best

Dark streets, empty lawns, singing trees, and the nauseating pulse of synths — you’re watching a John Carpenter film.
