Fred Savage has been fired from his roles as an executive producer and director of ABC’s The Wonder Years revival following allegations of misconduct. According to The Hollywood Reporter, three separate allegations were made against Savage, and an investigation was conducted. “Upon [the investigation’s] completion, the decision was made to terminate his employment as an executive producer and director of The Wonder Years,” ABC said in a statement. According to published reports, the 1988 coming-of-age dramedy set in the late 1960s and early 70s that told the story of teen Kevin Arnold (played by Fred Savage) and his suburban family, is now getting a reboot that will tell the story of American life during the pivotal Civil Right Era from a Black perspective.
