Less than two weeks ahead of Coachella, the festival has confirmed that Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd will headline in lieu of Ye, formerly known as Kanye West. And there you have it. The Weeknd will be joining Swedish House Mafia next Sunday at Coachella. The combination will replace Kanye West, who dropped out earlier this week. Coachella is teasing it as a party/after-party. Probably that it will be a Weeknd set followed by a late Swedish House Mafia set. That would be similar to 2012 when the Swedish trio went on after the Black Keys’ headlining set. Either way, the festival moved fast and enlisted a headliner that will appeal to its audience.
