During his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night (June 28th), actor Steve Carell recalled the time he waited on his look-alike, rocker Alice Cooper. In the same conversation, Carell also offered up a hilarious impression of Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler. While Carell was on the Tonight Show to promote his new movie Minions: The Rise of Gru, Fallon busted out side-by-side images of The Office star and the veteran shock rocker, clearly displaying the uncanny resemblance. The late-night host wondered if Carell ever met the rock legend, and it turns out he did. “I met Alice Cooper,” responded Carell. “I waited on him when I was working in Chicago, when I was waiting tables. I was working at a restaurant, and he came in. And he was Alice Cooper. And he could...

In the most recent step towards Michelle Zauner’s impending world takeover, Japanese Breakfast served as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live’s season finale. The indie rock band performed “Be Sweet” and “Paprika” from their 2021 album Jubilee. Additionally, Zauner appeared in the episode’s closing sketch, joining departing cast members Kate McKinnon and Aidy Bryant for a singalong of Joni Mitchell’s “The Circle Game.” But SNL wasn’t the only late-night stop for Zauner this past week: On Friday, the polymath visited The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to discuss turning her bestselling memoir Crying in H Mart into a movie, going to her first Grammys, and — of course — the origin of her 2017 song, “Jimmy Fallon Big!” “It kind of feels like I’m having conversa...

Shakira proved yet again that hips don’t lie when she stopped by The Tonight Show for a dance challenge. Specifically, a “Watch It Once” TikTok challenge, where the Colombian ace and host Jimmy Fallon tried out popular TikTok dances after watching them on the big screen just the one time. Whoever’s completes the routine closest to the original, wins the game. It’s that simple. It’s also simple to predict the winner: Shakira, of course. It’s entirely produced by Kanye West and Pharrell, and features additional guest appearances from Kid Cudi, Lil Uzi Vert, and No Malice. In our review, Consequence called the LP “more well-rounded” than its predecessor. “The album is a potent blend of evil deeds, evil thoughts, regrets, and insults to imaginary players,” wrote Marcus Shorter. “Pusha’s latest is filled with several reminders that [he] can still go ‘blow for blow with any Mexican,’ even as a family man. Or, go rhyme for r...
Breakout Atlanta rapper Latto just earned her first Top 5 hit with “Big Energy” earlier this week, and on Thursday night, she stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to play the song as part of a medley with “Sunshine” (sans guest stars Lil Wayne and Childish Gambino). Starting out with her self-described hood gospel “Sunshine,” Latto began the performance while seated to sing the chorus before getting up to rap her verse. After shedding her outside yellow gown, Latto brought out a pair of backup dancers to run through “Big Energy.” For most of the song, Latto just gyrated at the waist, but she picked up the pace toward the end and broke out some choreographed dance moves. Watch the replay below. First released in September, “Big Energy” — which shares the same sample as Mariah C...
Red Hot Chili Peppers performed their very own late-night double feature on Friday, appearing on both The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel Live. Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel took April Fools’ Day to a whole new level this year. Switching coasts and networks, the comedians traded late night shows for the evening, with Fallon hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Kimmel hosting The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. While the bit is funny to rewatch on YouTube, it’s especially entertaining to see the reactions of the shows’ studio audiences, who received the prank in real time. The Jimmy Kimmel Live! audience went especially nuts for Fallon, who quipped, “Please, please please, settle down, you’re going to offend the other Jimmy!” Kimmel had the same thought, asking Fallon’s audience, “Show of hands: How many of you are disappointed? Be honest.” During their monologues, the pair chatted via satellite about the Freaky ...

Rosalía stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday night to chat about her upcoming album MOTOMAMI and laugh about a wrong-number text from Harry Styles. Watch the interview below. After teaching host Jimmy Fallon how to properly pronounce her name — it’s all in how you roll the ‘R’! — the Spanish singer dished on the inspiration behind the title of her new LP. “OK, so you wanna know why it’s called MOTOMAMI? ‘Cause I feel like MOTOMAMI‘s an energy. Yes, yes, like an energy.
