Harry Styles Makes “Daylight” Music Video for $300 with James Corden: Watch

Harry Styles stopped by The Late Late Show with James Corden recently for the ultimate artistic challenge: to make a music video for his new song “Daylight” directed by James Corden in just three hours. And it wasn’t a music video filmed on a fancy set in Hollywood. No, the former boy bander had to find a real-life apartment in New York City to shoot on location with a budget of just $300. After getting turned down by a couple of Brooklyn baby boomers, Corden and Styles lucked into an apartment of four millennial girls more than happy to welcome them in. Hilariously, a tour of the apartment proved that one of the girls happened to be a Styles superfan, with Corden hurriedly hiding the Harry Styles-as-Harry Potter artwork and other assorted One Direction paraphernalia before the pop star co...

Pinegrove Whirl Through “Cyclone” on Corden: Watch

Pinegrove made their late night television debut performing “Cyclone” on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Tuesday night. For the standout track from their new album 11:11, Pinegrove played one of the most dimly-lit sets in recent late night history. The New Jersey rockers took the stage bathed in midnight purples, their faces and hands aglow with a grape sheen. This darkness put the emphasis on the lyrics, which is arguably where the band would want us to focus anyway. Frontman Evan Stephen Halls sang, “‘Cause it’s been in my head for a long time/ And it feels wrong/ I don’t want it anymore, ah/ It spun in my head for a long time,” using a metaphor of a cyclone to depict whirling thoughts. Check it out below. Advertisement Related Video Pinegrove have plenty...

BTS Stop Traffic Performing “Butter” on Corden: Watch

BTS literally stopped traffic during their latest appearance on Corden, blocking Geneese Ave in Los Angeles to perform “Butter,” “Permission to Dance,” “and “Dynamite.” This is becoming a habit for James Corden, who halted traffic over the summer with a reviled flash mob. But if anyone can make spending more time in LA traffic lovable, it’s the Bangtan Boys. For their performance of “Butter,” they sang alongside dancers dressed as sticks of emulsified cream. A sign labelled “BUT” rolled from one side of the street to be joined by “TER” coming the other way, as the K-Pop idols churned through their choreography. Like the product for which it was named, this “Butter” might give you a heart attack. Check out all three performances below. BTS, who after playing a record-setting series of ...

BTS Perform “Butter” to Celebrate the 1,000th Episode of Corden: Watch

Last night, The Late Late Show with James Corden celebrated its 1,000th episode, of which approximately 999 featured BTS  (ok, that’s a slight exaggeration, though Corden undoubtedly wishes it were true). To honor the occasion, the Bangtan Boys returned once again to perform a rendition of their record-breaking hit, “Butter.” BTS sang the song live with a backing track, and if you’ve been following these performances closely, you’ll be able to hear a marked improvement in their English accents from just a few months ago. After a two-year marathon, the world’s most famous septet are getting close to a well-deserved “extended period of rest,” and this iteration of “Butter” was much looser than usual — a bit breathier at times, with slightly more ad-libbing on the mic, and a goofy dance ...

BTS Dishes ‘Butter’ on ‘Late Late Show’: Watch

After several years of world-domination, BTS is all set for a hard-earned break to replenish the creative juices and recharge the batteries. But before the lads find a beach and chill out, there’s work to be done. The K-pop phenomenon are regular guests on The Late Late Show with James Corden, and they stopped by once again on Wednesday (Dec. 8), this time to help celebrate its 1,000 episode. What better way to bring up four-figures of late-night TV than dishing out the full spread of “Butter?”  On this occasion, there was little in the way of theatrics. Just a dancefloor, with Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook lighting it up for a performance of their chart-topping hit. Phoebe Bridgers Takes MUNA to Prom Performing “Silk Chiffon” on Cordon: Watch

Phoebe Bridgers and MUNA  put themselves on the prom court during a performance of “Silk Chiffon” on The Late Late Show with James Corden. A sea of pink balloons framed the stage, as MUNA stood in front of silver fringe curtain with the word “MUNA” spelled out in latex and helium. Vocalist Katie Gavin wore a flowing skirt and a tiara, though the skirt didn’t make it through the first verse before it was flung away. Bridgers stepped out of the wings before the second verse wearing a tiara of her own, and together they rocked through the irresistible track. Check out “Silk Chiffon” below. “Silk Chiffon” came out in September and we named it our Song of the Week. Both Phoebe Bridgers and MUNA are currently on tour. You can book tickets to see Bridgers here, and y...
