At the old Mayan Theatre in downtown Los Angeles, fans are wound up for a smoldering night of jagged, turbocharged punk and deep blues. The Kills have come to reignite the present and reflect on their past amid the room’s angular, pre-Columbian temple decor and packed dance floor. The Kills Announce 17th Anniversary Double Album Reissue of No Wow

The Kills announced a 17th-anniversary (interesting number choice but sure why not) deluxe reissue of their 2005 album No Wow out June 3 via Domino. The reissue features the original recording and a new mix by Tchad Blake. Blake’s mix of the title track “No Wow” is out now alongside an accompanying music video. Directed by Sally Walker-Hudecki, it features a collage of Super 8 footage with elements of the original 2005 video directed by Kenneth Cappello. St. Vincent Covers Nine Inch Nails to Honor NIN’s Rock Hall 2020 Induction

In honor of the 2020 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony happening this weekend, Amazon Music just released a special series of covers honoring this year’s class of inductees. St. Vincent and Jehnny Beth of Savages put their flair on Nine Inch Nails’ “Piggy” and “Closer” respectively. Eyelids took on Depeche Mode’s “Enjoy the Silence” off 1990’s Violator, while Real Estate covered “What a Fool Believes” by the Doobie Brothers. And while T. The Kills Announce Rarities LP, Share ‘Raise Me (Demo)’

The Kills will be bringing fans a treat at the end of the year. The duio will release Little Bastards a new compilation of B-sides and rarities culled from 2002 to 2009. It will include the never-before-heard demo of “Raise Me from the band’s Midnight Boom period; “I Call It Art” from the Monsieur Gainsbourg Revisited covers compilation; a performance of “Love Is A Deserter” from an XFM radio session and covers of Howlin’ Wolf’s “Forty Four,” Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ “I Put A Spell on You” and Dock Boggs’ “Sugar Baby.” And the LP will be available in CD, digital and LP formats and will be the first-ever vinyl pressing for some of the songs.
