With their fourth studio album, CTRL ALT REALITY, The Glitch Mob are resetting expectations. The tenured electronic trio have always been very deliberate with their creative output. So when they returned with the announcement of their first album since 2018’s See Without Eyes, there was an immediate interest in how their latest chapter would unfold. The band spurred even more intrigue when they offered up a rather conceptual creative thesis. “This next chapter in our artistry is intended to get back to the music, the movement, the dance, the connection of body & sound,” the group tweeted in September. “We are here to provide an audio experience you feel deep in your soul.” As with their prior long-form projects, it’s apparent that t...

Back in 2011, electronic band The Glitch Mob produced a remix of The White Stripes‘ 2003 classic, “Seven Nation Army.” While popular, the remix never saw an official release and thus unfortunately never made it onto streaming services or into fans’ personal music collections. The track will also see a release on vinyl, with standard black available for preorder beginning April 23rd, as well as a limited 7″ and a special red edition. The pressings will be available at Third Man Records in Nashville, Tennessee and Detroit, Michigan, and select independent record stores in June. In tandem with The Glitch Mob’s re...
The Glitch Mob‘s edIT is ending a drought of over ten years after announcing his solo comeback album, Come To Grips, will arrive in less than a month. We last received a full album from edIT back in 2007, when The Glitch Mob was beginning to hit its stride. However, in these dark, isolated times, the producer has had plenty of time to reflect on the challenges at hand, and edIT’s latest narrative began to take shape. “It encompasses an isolated sound, feeling, and emotion,” edIT said. “The feeling of being alone, being a little hopeless, but at the end of the day – knowing that there’s still so much to be hopeful for. We’re all coming to grips with the current state of the world.” Along with the announcement, edIT has dropped the album’s l...
