Telkom SA has launched a new set of postpaid promotional deals and prepaid LTE deals offering more value to its mobile customers. These new data price reductions come not long after the semi-private telco announced its 1GB mobile data bundle reduction to R79 and the introduction of a new and affordable 1.5GB + 1.5GB All Network data bundle at R89. South Africa’s semi-private telecommunications firm Telkom has cut the price of its 1GB + 1GB All networks data bundle to R79,00 from the previous price of R99. The telco has also announced the introduction of a new 1,5GB + 1,5GB All networks data bundle at R89,00. According to a statement issued by Telkom, these deals will initially only be available on the *180# USSD menu and from 20 September 2021 may be accessed on all other channels. Telkom says that its all-networks data bundles are available for purchase to all new and existing customers (Prepaid, Post-paid and Top-up or Hybrid). The analysis only takes into account top mobile operators in the country, ones which account for 3% or more of total test samples in the market in Q2 2021 – smaller providers are not tested, and thus are not included in the rankings.
