‘Hot Damn’ Is the Super Bowl Show Tune Dan Levy & Cecily Strong Can’t Believe You Haven’t Heard

“They play it every Super Bowl,” Strong insisted. “You all know it.” The pair then broke out in a duet — “Hot damn, I want score the winning goal/ You will, you’ll put it through the football hole” — that got some puzzled looks, until most of the people in the bar joined in on the Super Bowl show tune. The group even turned the football ditty it into a tap number behind the bar. Kenan Thompson, who Googled “Hot Damn” and could only find a very-unrelated song by Clipse, still wasn’t convinced this Super Bowl song was really a thing. But eventually, even he got “in the zone,” top hat and baton in hand. Watch the “Hot Damn” sketch below. You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates...

Winona Ryder Is Back With Edward Scissorhands’ Son in New Super Bowl Ad: Watch

Like Edward, Edgar has trouble functioning in the normal world. When trying to yank on chain on a bus to get off at the next stop, he accidentally cuts the cord with his sharp fingers, getting himself banned from public transportation; while trying to catch a football, he punctures and deflates it; and rather than creating elaborately shaped bushes, he cuts up spectacular salads. To cheer him up, Kim buys the teen a Cadillac LYRIQ, which has a hands-free super cruise feature that allows him to drive without destroying the steering wheel. (No word about a seat belt that his hands won’t slice through, though.) “And Edgar drove off into the sunset,” Kim says as the ad ends. “But don’t worry: He still makes it home in time for dinner — occasionally.” A...

Jared Leto Almost Signed an Unknown Billie Eilish After She Rocked His Private Party

Leto was really sold on the pair’s talent when he invited them to play a tiny show at his house during a dinner party for 12 people, where they blew the A-list guests away. “I said, ‘Hey, will you guys come and play a couple of songs?’ and they were, like, ‘Yeah, sure,’ and they showed up with a Guitar Center p.a. and played the most heartbreakingly beautiful music with, like, you know, it shouldn’t have sounded that good, it was impossible that it sounded that good,” he said. “I remember Leo DiCaprio was there and a couple of other people and they were just, like, ‘How did you find these people and, like, who are they?’ Everyone was just jaws on the floor, 12 people max at my place in the hills. Yeah, just great people. I&#...

Kelly Clarkson Tackles New Radicals With Latest Cover, Talks ‘Mean Celebs’ During ‘Idol’ Days: Watch

“I have to say you’re kind of like my good luck charm,” Astin told Clarkson when she praised his cover, noting that he also did “Since U Been Gone” in the first PP movie and on the soundtrack. But, he added, “I don’t know if you know this, but your songs are hard!” Clarkson agreed, joking that she usually figures that out when she goes on tour and realizes she has to sing “all 17 of these songs every single night! Like over and over. That’s when I lower the [register of the] songs.” Astin said his moment with Zoey was especially special because it’s the first time that Levy’s character has sung a duet with someone on the show. In the same episode, Clarkson chatted with 9-1-1 star Jennifer Love Hewitt about the ti...

For an artist who specializes in the gentler side of indie rock, Ariel Pink has had an eventful new year. Kelly Clarkson Is a Lot Country on Fiery Kellyoke Cover of The Chicks’ ‘Sin Wagon’

Kelly Clarkson performed a spirited run through The Chicks‘ “Sin Wagon” on Thursday’s (Jan. 14) edition of Kellyoke. The Texas-born singer, who has always had a healthy dose of giddyup in her voice, leaned hard into the song from the Chicks’ — then known as the Dixie Chicks — 1999 smash album Fly, complete with furious fiddle, galloping stand-up bass and a raucous cowgirl yelp at the end. The song, whose title was inspired by a scene in the movie Grease, hit No. 52 on Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs chart in the fall of 1999 and features some of the Chicks’ signature provocative lyrics. It opens with Clarkson breathlessly singing, “He pushed me ’round/ Now I’m drawin’ the line/ He lived his life/ Now I...

Ellen DeGeneres Details COVID-19 Experience in First Show Back

Thanking those who reached out with kind words and support throughout her recovery, DeGeneres expressed her wish to have “hugged each and every one” of her fans. “That would have been dangerous and illegal, probably,” the host joked. The Ellen DeGeneres Show paused production in early Dec. on the final day of the show’s “Twelve Days of Giveaways” seasonal event. As a result, DeGeneres invited the same audience back to the show who missed out on their gifts in December. The host went on to recount the dramatic events on set the day she received her COVID-19 test result. While sitting in hair and makeup, the 62-year-old remembered her assistant Craig walking in to inform her that she had tested positive. “And then, everyone around me ran away,” DeGeneres said. “It’s funny, p...
