Blige is taking the airwaves by storm as she’s poised to have her own talk show on BET next year thanks to a recent partnership deal. According to reports, the star R&B singer has signed a deal with BET to produce scripted and unscripted content through her company, Blue Butterfly Productions. The first project from this deal coming into fruition is a new talk show called The Wine Down. Maury, you are… not coming back next season. NBCUniversal announced earlier this week that the long-running talk show will end at the conclusion of its current, 30th season. Hosted by Maury Povitch, now 83, the show first began airing in 1991 as The Maury Povitch Show before shortening its name to the now-classic Maury seven years later. Titled Peace Of Mind With Taraji, the veteran actress will address mental health concerns while inviting celebrities and experts alike to the program.
