EDM.com proudly publishes four installments of annual year-end coverage: Industry Leaders, Performances, Music Producers and Songs.  DJing and music production are different. But the difference between the two is like a wallflower—it hides in plain sight, and it’s vastly misunderstood. Publishing a “Top DJ” list would undermine the originality, ingenuity and dauntless imagination of the artists who dedicate their lives to music production. To honor their fearless creativity and profound dedication to their craft, we’ve recognized 10 of the best electronic music producers of 2022. Listen to ATLiens and SVDDEN DEATH’s Behemoth of a Collab, “Purgatory”

ATLiens and SVDDEN DEATH have awoken an unholy terror with their newest single,” “Purgatory.” Like the cries of a creature from hell but also somehow from space like in DOOM, ATLiens and SVDDEN DEATH’s new collaboration kicks off with an echoing transmission from beyond. A fast-paced, interstellar beat takes center stage as they power up the warp-drive to reach the speed of light. ATLiens and SVDDEN DEATH then introduce a woozy meld of mechanical growls, haunting whispers and glitchy synths as they slam on the breaks and cut the song to a crawl. The byproduct is a wonderfully produced amalgam of the former’s experimental bass and the latter’s sinister sound design from the underworld. Scroll to Continue Recommended Articles “PurgatoryR...

Watch Lost Lands 2022 Performances By ILLENIUM, Subtronics, REZZ, Madeon, More

It’s the Monday after Lost Lands, which means ravers have traded earplugs for neck braces after one of the nation’s most popular dubstep festivals. Headbangers showed out at the 2022 edition of Excision‘s flagship fest. The sheer amount of talent at Lost Lands was staggering, and if the festival’s reputation as the “Dubstep Olympics” was ever in doubt, any scintilla of that was effectively quashed this year. One Lost Lands devotee has uploaded footage from “Couch Lands,” the prehistoric-themed festival’s livestreaming counterpart. Fans can now head to YouTube to watch over 50 DJ sets from the likes of Knife Party, Wooli, REZZ, ILLENIUM, Madeon, SVDDEN DEATH, Eptic, Barely Alive and a momentous closing performance from Subtronics, among ...

SVDDEN DEATH‘s debut album is the perfect companion for Elden Ring binging. Broken into five unique acts, VOYD II is the quintessential SVDDEN DEATH project. Combining experimental, heavy sounds with his signature dark fantasy aesthetic, his debut LP takes listeners deeper into a world of medieval horror with every track. As listeners turn the first page of the metaphorical book of VOYD, they are met with an ominous rumbling. Some say the sounds are reminiscent of fire and brimstone while others hear the stomping footsteps of a gargantuan beast. All that’s known for sure is that listeners will be subjected to their own worst nightmare, filtering out those not willing to face their fears.
