#EndSARS: CRAN commiserates with NPF/civilians over attack

The Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN), a body of journalists covering the security beat nationwide, has commiserated with the Inspector-General of Police Mr Mohammed Adamu, the entire Nigeria Police Force and Nigerians on their loss during the EndSARS protest. CRAN has described as unfortunate the loss of both human and material resources during the period of violence as a result of #EndSARS protest hijacked by hoodlums. In a statement, signed by Chairman, Public Communications and Ethics Committee, Mr Emmanuel Edom, he noted that ”Like all right thinking members of the society, CRAN strongly frowns at police brutality, but also notes that the unethical actions and inactions of a few should not be the yardstick to measure the entire force. We outrightly condemn the widespread k...

Respect The Pioneers: GORE-TEX Inventor Bob Gore Has Passed Away

Source: George Frey/RETIRED / Getty If you ever wore clothing specifically made for the outdoors then you need to take a moment of silence. The father to one of the greatest fashion inventions is no longer with us. As spotted on High Snobiety Bob Gore, the inventor of GORE-TEX, has passed away on Thursday, September 17. In 1969 Bob Gore stretched heated rods of polytetrafluoroethylene and created expanded polytetrafluoroethylene. His discovery of the right conditions for stretching PTFE was a happy accident, born partly out of frustration. Instead of slowly stretching the heated material, he applied a sudden, accelerating yank. “I decided to give one of these rods a huge stretch, fast, a jerk and it stretched 1000%” he said. After some more testing he introduced it to the public under...

Black Lives Matter Advocate Katt Williams Goes Off For Supreme: “The President’s A Clown”

Source: Supreme / Supreme In case you’ve been wondering where has Katt Williams been during the pandemic—he’s been rocking with Supreme. On Sunday (August 16), the sometimes troubled comedian and actor dropped a nearly 7-minute monologue for the streetwear brand that was more biting than funny, in a righteous way. Williams hit on numerous contemporary topics including civil unrest, the coronavirus pandemic, the presidential election and more while keeping the jokes in quarantine. But we were here for it as soon as the Donald Trump slander started. “Right now we have a perfectly suitable clown running the free world,” says Williams. “We got a guy whose advice including things that no decent crackhead would tell you to do with a gunshot wound.” Where is the hydroxychloroquine lie? Another of...

Future L’s On Deck: A Supreme x Nike Air Jordan 1 Rumored For 2021

Source: Nike / Jordan Brand Well, we already know what one of the most anticipated sneakers of 2021 will surely be. The rumor mill is saying a Supreme x Nike Air Jordan 1 is going to drop in 2021. Keep in mind this is all conjecture at this point, but word is Supreme and Jordan Brand will be linking up to pay homage to the former’s Supreme’s 2003 Nike SB Dunk High collab with an Air Jordan 1. Looking for independent skate shops to provide the authenticity needed to win over the fastidious streetwear scene in 2003, Nike SB collaborated with a still in-the-know brand called Supreme on their Dunk High model. The rest, as they say, is history.https://t.co/UhFZ3k2KMt pic.twitter.com/jod8u12KSy — Stadium Goods (@stadiumgoods) October 3, 2019 According to Drops By Jay on Instagram, th...
