Lollapalooza Reveals 2021 Daily Lineup Schedule

Following the announcement of Lollapalooza‘s full lineup two weeks ago, organizers have released the daily schedule breakdown for the upcoming four-day event.  As in prior years, electronic artists have nabbed two of the top headlining slots. This year ILLENIUM and Marshmello will fill those roles on Thursday and Friday, respectively. Meanwhile, fans of the festival’s dedicated electronic outfit, Perry’s Stage, will have no trouble staying busy. Red Rocks is officially set to receive the Cyclops Recordings treatment after label head Subtronics announced an upcoming headlining concert. The dubstep superstar is set to descend on the iconic Colorado open air venue for a triumphant “Cyclops Rocks” show this summer. The show, which is scheduled for June 22nd, will be the first to go down at Red Rocks after the venue lifts its capacity restrictions the day prior—a moment that could prove to be a watershed moment for the live music scene. Oklahoma City Denies Permit for Subtronics Concert Due to Proximity to Mental Health Hospital

Oklahoma City officials have pumped the breaks on an upcoming Subtronics concert due to the location’s close proximity to a nearby mental health facility. This week the event’s promoter, Relentless Beats, was denied a permit to host the Oklahoma City stop of Subtronics’ Monster Energy Outbreak Tour. The show was supposed to take place in a lot just behind the Oakwood Springs mental health facility. Due to the loud, distorted nature of the music, there was concern the concert could upset some of the facility’s residents, some of whom suffer from PTSD and are sensitive to noise. Subtronics, 12th Planet, More Announced on Stacked Lineup for Excision’s First-Ever Reunion Event

The lineup for Excision‘s bass music family reunion has arrived, and in typical X fashion, it’s stacked. EDM’s de facto dubstep dad has tapped a bevy of the genre’s most popular artists for Reunion, which is scheduled for July 16th and 17th at Legend Valley, the home of Lost Lands. Set to appear at the event are Subtronics, SVDDEN DEATH, Sullivan King, Lucii, LEVEL UP, Dion Timmer, and a can’t-miss B2B DJ set from 12th Planet and Wooli, among others. Subtronics’ Cyclops Recordings Unveils Latest Wonky Compilation

Subtronics’s meteoric rise can be attributed to his unmistakable signature sound as well as his keen ear. Since launching his Cyclops Recordings imprint, the Philadelphia-born has successfully signed tracks from incredible budding talents as well as well-established bass music veterans. Today his label has delivered yet another compilation packed full of unstoppable artillery. Entitled Planet Cyclops, the compilation features a handful of bass music champions including TYNAN, Ace Aura, Wreckno, Jkyl & Hyde, and Chassi as well as fresh faces like eliderp, JoeB, Dr. Lobster, DDD, and many more. Subtronics, Boogie T, and Dirt Monkey Announce 4/20 NFT Drop Featuring Nine Unreleased Tracks

Subtronics, Boogie T, and Dirt Monkey will be celebrating a fan-favorite unofficial holiday in a unique way this year.  On Tuesday, each artist will be releasing a trio of unreleased tracks in the form of a 4/20 NFT drop on the Bitski marketplace. They will all be joint efforts with each of their longtime visual artist collaborators. Subtronics will be teamed up with Aaron Brooks, Boogie T is partnered with Kooz, and Dirt Monkey will be provided visuals from INCEDIGRIS.  On their respective Twitter accounts, each artist shared a pair of images announcing each of their collaborative NFTs. While the tweets do contain pieces of visual art, it’s not yet clear what the final products will look and sound like.
