Two people have been arrested after breaking into the home of Kleøpatra, a budding electronic music artist. At around 5:10am on December 31st, Kleøpatra was asleep at home when the suspects violently “kicked the front door in,” according to the DJ, who has released music on a number of popular electronic labels such as Excision’s Subsidia Records. Authorities identified the suspects as Chase Nielson, 36, and Stacy Nielson, 37, proprietors of a local rave merchandise brand, Utah Rave Fam, LLC. “My roommate started yelling at them to get out once she realized they were in my house,” Kleøpatra tells EDM.com. “By the time I had gotten out of bed and downstairs, they were already out of the house and I then immediately called the police.” Scroll to...

Excision and Dion Timmer have unveiled their latest collaborative masterstroke, a soaring new single called “Salvation” with Alexis Donn. Longtime friends and collaborators, the two bass music superstars eschewed their penchant for heavy-hitting dubstep this time around, instead opting for an intoxicating melodic bass arrangement. Pitched vocal chops quiver through the booming saws and powerful chords of the song’s drops, which rumble with the same ferocity as a signature Subsidia release. Donn’s vocal performance here is not to be ignored. The Nashville-based singer-songwriter delivers a stentorian topline that ebbs and flows along with the dynamic production of Timmer and Excision, who have long been championed for their ability to produce vocal-driven banger...

Dion Timmer has arrived with his highly anticipated Arcane EP, a 7-track stunner that arrives via Excision‘s Subsidia Records banner. Arcane is nothing short of breathtaking. Timmer effortlessly weaves through the darkest netherworlds of bass music, interpolating elements of drum & bass, dubstep, and even midtempo. Original musicality gushes through each of the record’s seven tracks like a broken dam, each one rife with an electrifying blend of meticulously crafted melodies and roaring bass patches. Arcane features joint tracks with Lucii, G-REX and Armanni Reign, Azuria Sky, Teddy Killerz, and Excision and Monika Santucci. The latter collaboration is something to marvel at. An Excision song at 102 BPM is completely out of left-field, but considering the forward-thinki...
