10 Wearable Street Style Trends Coming Out of Paris Right Now

Fresh from the fashion capital.

I’ve Been a Stylist for 10 Years—These 4 Outfits Always Look Good

When I was at university, my ever-stylish flatmate taught me that as long as you always have a good white T-shirt and perfect-fit jeans in your wardrobe or suitcase, you can’t go wrong. It really is the greatest combo, and over the years, I’ve searched for the perfect T-shirt. My original fave was by James Perse. At one point, I had four of the exact same tee. Now, my ultimate choice is from an L.A.-based brand called Pretties. Pretties originally launched its Baby Tee in the mid-’90s, and everyone who was anyone had one. From Naomi to Cindy to an iconic editorial with Drew Barrymore, these tees were extremely popular. The brand relaunched with a beautiful store in Venice Beach, and I stumbled across it recently. I haven’t looked back because Pretties’ tees ha...

Get Ready to See These New Street Style Trends Everywhere in 2023

If there’s one way to get a read on what we’ll actually be wearing next season, it’s by examining the street style trends of the previous fashion month. Yes, what comes down the runways is always important, but often, it’s what happens outside the shows that carries even more influence, especially in our day-to-day wardrobes. There’s just something about seeing real people styling trends for real life (okay, fashion week) that makes them seem much easier to re-create. The street style set—whether it’s editors, influencers, buyers or celebrities—have, for a while now, been masters of both following and setting trends. And although some looks can still be a little out there (any of the Loewe S/S 23 collection is a case in point), the majority are elevated takes on everyday outfits. So ...

1970s Fashion Trends That Still Feel So Current Today

I’m a huge fan of ’70s fashion—the era created a host of trends that still stand up today, whether you realise they’re from that time or not. Think of our current obsession with bright over-the-knee boots, folk-inspired printed dresses, velvet and corduroy, boho blouses, midi skirts and so on. While the ’70s sweep over the runways every couple of seasons, there’s always a hint of it on the streets if you look closely. Think of the iconic designer names that were indelibly marked into history during this decade, like Yves Saint Laurent, Karl Lagerfeld and Diane von Furstenberg. Also, during this period, mass-market, trend-driven fashion was more readily available. Barbara Hulanicki’s Biba kick-started the idea in London a decade earlier, alongsi...

11 Low-Key Outfits Everyone Will Want to Wear This December

It can be difficult to know what to wear in December when cold weather is undeniable and your schedule is packed. With freezing days to navigate, get-togethers to go to, big meals to eat (stretchy trousers are really the dream ticket), glitzy parties to attend (even if your numbers are small), workdays to still power through (wherever you may be carrying them out) and some cosy lounging moments to enjoy, multiple trendy winter outfits are required—this we know. Assembling them, however, is a different story. Striking the perfect balance between being warm and looking stylish isn’t an easy task, but don’t worry. We have a solution. We’ve looked to the stylish people we follow on Instagram to bring you some much-needed outfit inspiration for the month ahead. Wheth...

See? These Classic Ankle Boots Literally Go With Everything You Own

They’re always the hardest-working item in our wardrobes come autumn, so it’s little wonder all we can think about right now is boots. However, with a plethora new styles out there—think buckle boots, cowboy and the It pair favoured by British women, to name a few—there are almost too many options to choose from. So instead, we’re cancelling out the noise (just for a second) to focus our energy on a time-honoured classic: Chelsea boots. Chelsea boots have morphed into a perennial fallback. Dating back to the Victorian era when, much like today, they were worn by men and women alike, they traditionally featured flat soles, rounded toes and sat just above the ankles. In recent years, however, the style has evolved into various iterations, from pointed-toe iterations and tal...

This Is How London Girls Are Styling Their Trousers Right Now

Trousers are a year-round wardrobe staple and one that British fashion types certainly don’t have autonomy over. Still, after reviewing six months worth of the impressive street style imagery we’ve captured by way of London pavements, I can discern one thing: The capital’s most adept dressers know how to style their trousers. Between puddle pants and cargoes, loose-fit denim and tailoring, London girls have embraced 2022’s penchant for trousers like no one else. It helps that they loan themselves to our climate, where, even in the peak of summer, there remains an omnipresent chill in the air, particularly after a certain point in the evening. Looking back at our photo archives, trouser outfits were just as predominant in the month of July as they were during ou...

We Went Street Style–Spotting in London—These 9 Outfits Impressed Us

There are no two ways about it; it’s officially autumn, and the outfits we spotted on our latest street style session in London certainly reflected that. As the leaves change their colours from vibrant green to a kaleidoscope of reds and browns, and oranges, our wardrobes, too, have undergone a similar metamorphosis. In lieu of the yellows, pinks, and blues that were predominant in the summer months, now, the colour palette in the capital boasts a beautiful array of autumnal tones—chocolate brown, rust, khaki—peppered with classic shades of black, ecru, and beige, resulting in some expensive-looking outfit combinations along the way. The day we ventured out was crisp, dry and relatively warm by October standards, which explains the lack of cumbersome coats. Instead, what we...
