Stranger Things’ Noah Schnapp Confirms Will “Is Gay and He Does Love Mike”

Stranger Things‘ star Noah Schnapp has confirmed what most Season 4 viewers will have already guessed, telling Variety that his character Will Byers “is gay and he does love Mike.” This won’t come as a shock to anyone who’s spent lots of time in the Upside Down, though in the past, Schnapp has declined to comment on his character’s sexuality, saying, “It’s up to the audience’s interpretation.” That was a bluff, he has now admitted, in an attempt to avoid spoilers about Season 4. “Obviously, it was hinted at in Season 1,” Schnapp said of Will’s identity. “It was always kind of there, but you never really knew, is it just him growing up slower than his friends? Now that he’s gotten older, they made it a very real, obvious thing. Now it’s 100% clear that he is gay and he does l...

Kate Bush Notches Fifth Week Atop Australia’s Chart With ‘Running Up That Hill’

Kate Bush extends her reign over Australia’s singles chart with “Running Up That Hill,” which logs a third week at No. 1 and fifth in total. Bush and Australia, it would seem, have a tight, mutual bond. Brisbane’s Pub Choir is going viral with its cover of Bush’s 1985 hit, which caught the attention of its creator. Its singers are buzzing off an email received by the choir’s founder and director Astrid Jorgensen, in which Bush responds, “I’ve been so busy that I’ve only just had the chance to watch you all singing RUTH. It’s utterly, utterly wonderful! I love it so much! Thank you everyone. You sing it really beautifully. I’m incredibly touched by your warmth and all your smiling faces.” https://www.instagram.com/p/Cf-NttkP4wu/?hl=en Explore See latest videos, charts and news See late...

Teen ‘Stranger Things’ Star Noah Schnapp Apologized To Doja Cat, Says “Everything Is All Good”

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Mondadori Portfolio / Getty So, most of y’all know the saga by now: Doja Cat recently called out 17-year-old Noah Schnapp for sharing a message she sent to him asking him to hook her up with his  Stranger Things co-star Joseph Quinn calling it “snake s**t.” The call-out kind of backfired on Doja costing her a couple hundred thousand followers because it turns out some people think it’s weird and inappropriate for a 26-year-old to hop in a teen’s DM to request a hook-up regardless of the fact that the man she was crushing on is at least age-appropriate. (Sure, you could argue they were both wrong—but one of them is a whole teenager.) Related Stories At any rate, Schnapp is ready to put the drama to bed and he posted a Tik Tok video saying he apologize...

Somewhere in Indiana, Stranger Things Pays Tribute to Eddie Munson with Crop Art: Watch

Eddie Munson may have been the breakout character of Stranger Things Season 4, a point proven by Netflix’s latest piece of marketing, a huge crop art installation the streaming service commissioned in his image. A new video, shot in a field “somewhere in Indiana,” shows a huge piece of crop art by artist Stan Herd depicting the beloved metalhead in all his glory. The aerial shots of the artwork are soundtracked, of course, by Metallica’s “Master of Puppets,” a fitting tribute for the character. “Eddie Munson 4 Ever,” the design reads. It leaves you wondering how far in advance Netflix commissioned the environmental piece, which was surely a lot of work, but apparently the streamer is always 10 steps ahead of the rest of us. Check out the crop art below. Actor Joseph Quinn did a lot of...

Metallica’s “Master of Puppets” Enters Billboard Hot 100 for the First Time Following Stranger Things Inclusion

First Kate Bush, now Metallica: Thanks to a high-profile feature on Season 4 of Stranger Things, the metal legends have enjoyed a nice little bump on the Billboard charts, with the 1986 song “Master of Puppets” entering the Hot 100 for the first time ever. After Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) shredded the song from the Upside Down (with an assist from Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo’s son Tye, who recorded additional guitar parts for the scene), “Master of Puppets” entered at No. 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week of July 16th. Metallica already thanked the popular Netflix series for the feature by duetting with Munson on TikTok, with each member of the band sporting “Hellfire Club” T-shirts. Doja Cat Calling Out ‘Stranger Things’ Noah Schnapp Cost Her 200,000 Instagram Followers

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: NBC / Getty Doja Cat airing out a 17-year-old Noah Schnapp for exposing her crush on his Stranger Things co-star didn’t sit well with social media. Doja Cat Lost Some Instagram Followers For Snitching On Teen The music star found herself the subject of debate on Twitter after she decided to call out Noah Schnapp for sharing direct messages she sent the teen asking him to hook her up with his co-star Joseph Quinn calling it “snake s**t.” Related Stories “The fact that this person, that Noah did that and went and posted a private conversation between me and him is so unbelievably socially unaware,” she said during the live session. “You know what I mean? Like., that’s like borderline snake s**t,” she continued. Many people disapproved of the 26-year-old mus...

2022 Emmy Nominations: Succession, Abbott Elementary, Pam & Tommy, Squid Game and More Score Big

In the era of so much TV, each Emmy Awards nominations morning brings with it a degree of chaos. In 2022, that remains consistent, though there are familiar faces returning to the dance as well as fresh voices. As many predicted, the third season of Succession (which dominated in 2020) was the nominations count leader with 25, including what feels like a metric ton of acting nominations across nearly all categories. Meanwhile, Netflix’s three big plays in the drama series category — Ozark, Stranger Things, and Squid Game — didn’t perform outrageously well. All did secure Outstanding Drama Series nods, though, and with 14 nominations for Squid Game and 13 each for Ozark and Stranger Things, that’s nothing to sneeze at. Apple TV+’s Severance (Consequence‘s best show of 2022 so far) also pick...

Stranger Things Actor Joseph Quinn Actually Mastered Metallica’s “Master of Puppets” on Guitar: Watch

Editor’s Note: The following article contains some minor spoilers for Stranger Things Season 4. While Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo’s son Tye played “additional guitar tracks” for a key scene in Stranger Things in which the character of Eddie Munson shreds “Master of Puppets,” credit should also go to actor Joseph Quinn for learning the metal classic himself. A new video posted by the writers of the popular Netflix series shows Quinn very ably playing the tune during a practice session. While it’s not clear which, if any, of the notes that are heard in the Season 4 finale of Stranger Things are actually being played by Quinn, he is seen playing the proper notes to “Master of Puppets” in the scene. Tye Trujillo was recruited to perform parts of the song, while guitarist Aiden Fisher’s h...

Metallica Duet with Stranger Things’ Eddie on “Master of Puppets”: Watch

Metallica are officially members of the Hellfire Club, as they’ve shared a duet with Stranger Things 4 hero Eddie Munson on the epic “Master of Puppets.” Much like Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill,” the 1986 thrash metal classic played a pivotal role in the most recent season of the hit Netflix series. And just like Bush’s track, “Master of Puppets” has seen a major bump in streams as a result. Metallica have openly expressed gratitude for their part in the epic Stranger Things final, and now they’ve taken it a step further, giving Eddie the ultimate stamp approval by duetting with him via the magic of TikTok. Metallica Help Shred Some Demons In Stranger Things Season 4

[Editor’s note: The following contains spoilers through the Season 4 finale of Stranger Things, “The Piggyback.”] For a show already known for killer needle drops, Stranger Things Season 4 took things to a new level with its season finale. In the epic-length Episode 9, “The Piggyback,” our heroes decide to venture into the Upside Down to take down the malevolent demon known as Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower). The plan: Use Max (Sadie Sink) as bait to lure the demon into making a psychic attack, while the rest of the gang attacks Vecna’s comatose body. Vecna isn’t defenseless, though, as he’s guarded by an army of demonic bats. That’s when Eddie Munsen (Joe Quinn) — and his guitar — come into play. Eddie pulls out an amp and electric guitar and, with Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) headbanging beside...
