Canada’s Friendzy Fest Music Festival is set to return for its sophomore edition this August. Offering four days and four nights of dance music, camping, art and workshops, Friendzy Fest is where friends become family. The second annual fest will take place August 11th to 15th at Rangeton Park in Evansburg, Alberta.  This year’s eclectic lineup features headlining performances by Stickybuds—who will reemerge to play a special comeback set—genre-blending bass music virtuoso Defunk, and dubstep producer Jaenga. The Funk Hunters’ Nick Middleton Partners With Grant Paley to Launch Midnight Agency

Grant Paley—an award-winning artist and longtime agent—has partnered with Nick Middleton of the The Funk Hunters to launch their very own artist agency. The two industry giants announced their Canadian boutique agency earlier this month, having established a diverse roster of 30 artists including Chali 2na, Gone Gone Beyond, The Librarian, and Stickybuds, among others. “Our roster at Midnight Agency represents some of the most forward thinking, diverse and technologically savvy individuals I’ve ever met,” Paley said in a statement. This past October, The Funk Hunters and Stickybuds teamed up for their first-ever collaboration, “Empire.” The release was a huge success, amassing nearly 260,000 plays on Spotify in just a few months. Out today on Westwood Recordings, the once-grimy bass track has received a special treatment from the doctor.
