In the past, Vedder has appeared with Social Distortion, Glen Hansard, and Jack Johnson during their sets and has had Liz Phair, Johnny Marr, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Brandi Carlile, and more join him during his (and Pearl Jam’s). The latest edition is no different. During Stevie Nicks’ headlining set on Friday night, Vedder traded vocals with the Fleetwood Mac singer on “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around.” #StevieNicks #Ohanafest #eddievedder pic.twitter.com/ZaYb6JjK38 — Amy 🌈🐃🎸✈️🉑⚖️☮️🏜 🐘🦍♏️ (@akm1) October 1, 2022 Stevie Nicks and Eddie Vedder Singing “Stop Draggin My Hear...

Stevie Nicks Releases New Cover of Buffalo Springfield’s ‘For What It’s Worth’

After performing it several times during her ongoing North American solo tour, Stevie Nicks has released a studio version of her cover of Buffalo Springfield’s classic ’60s anthem “For What It’s Worth.” On it, she’s backed by longtime backing vocalist Sharon Celani and guitarist Waddy Wachtel, as well as Greg Kurstin, who produced and also played drums, organ and guitar. [embedded content][embedded content] “It meant something to me then, and it means something to me now,” Nicks says. “I always wanted to interpret it thru the eyes of a woman, and it seems like today, in the times that we live in, that it has a lot to say.” In an unusual twist, Nicks previously released an original song of the same name, written by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell, on her 2011 album I...

The rest of the roster runs that gamut from Lauren Daigle to Ludacris (now that is an iconic duo), plus lots of tributes we can’t wait to see, from James Brown to Dr. Dog. The 100 Greatest Rock Stars Since That Was A Thing

Three of the 100 are in this picture! The Rolling Stones, in 1964, from left to right: Bill Wyman, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Brian Jones. The problem with lists like this is they are invariably bullshit. So our prime objective was to make sure we didn’t do a bullshit list. I’m not saying we did a scientific one either. Because that isn’t possible — actually, it is, if you wanted some compilation of who sold the most records/concert tickets/has the most fans/got the most death threats, etc., and someone could come up with a bunch of very empirical metrics and create a “heat index” or something, and could deliver an actual scientific ranking! But we, um, didn’t do that. In fact we didn’t even, technically, do the “we...

Austin City Limits Unveils a Lineup Fitting for Austin

As festivals finally return, it seems like each event is trying to outdo the competition by curating lineups that are a bit…unusual. This is a good thing! Usually, when these things are announced, there’s a logic behind who plays where. But yesterday’s Lollapalooza reveal had folks wondering what audience the event is for (apparently you can try to be everything for everyone) but today’s Austin City Limits lineup took that to another level, with a diverse slate of impressive acts. This year’s bill, which marks the fest’s 20th edition, will feature headlining artists George Strait, Billie Eilish, Stevie Nicks, Miley Cyrus, Erykah Badu, DaBaby and Rüfüs Du Sol.
