Tomorrowland is known for creating one-of-a-kind immersive experiences, constantly pushing the boundaries of live event production and culture. With the announcement of Tomorrowland Around the World, the festival’s first virtual concert, expectations and anticipation are at an all-time high.  Steve Aoki is no stranger to digital concerts, headlining the highly publicized Fortnite in-game concert experience, “Party Royale,” alongside deadmau5 and Dillon Francis back in May 2020. Steve Aoki Delivers Virtual DJ Set for IE University’s Graduation Night

Since the relentless wrath of COVID-19 obliterated the prospect of graduation ceremonies across the globe, many universities were forced to funnel them digitally as their students were forced to quarantine. IE University took the concept of virtual graduation to the next level by teaming up with Dim Mak boss Steve Aoki, who delivered a rip-roaring DJ set straight from his own studio to celebrate the school’s graduating seniors. The performance took place after students received their diplomas via an immersive online graduation ceremony. Steve Aoki has penned an open letter with The Walking Dead‘s Eleanor Matsuura calling for the end of Costco‘s sale of caged eggs in Asia. Directed to the grocery chain’s CEO, W. Craig Jelinek, the actress and EDM star state how caged egg sales violate the company’s own animal welfare policy and put Asian customers at risk of food-borne illness. They follow up the second point with links to studies that have shown that caged egg farms have higher rates of salmonella contamination than cage-free facilities.
