Los Angeles Rams‘ top running back has suffered a torn Achilles during training camp, forcing the star athlete to miss the upcoming 2021 NFL season. In a press appearance earlier this week, Coach Sean McVay said, “We’ve got some young backs on our roster that I’m intrigued about seeing how they handle this opportunity. I don’t know that the veteran route is something that we would rule out...

FIFA Considers Reducing Football to 30-Minute Halves

FIFA is reportedly experimenting with new changes to the rules of football, with the controversial ideas each being trialled during the Future of Football Cup youth tournament. The wide-ranging new rules would see the game look almost entirely different from its current iteration, with everything from game lengths to suspensions potentially changing. One of the most notable changes is the introduction of two 30 minute halves, which would replace the game’s current 90 minute length. This drastic will be supplemented by a new rule meaning that the clock stops whenever the ball goes out of play. Other changes being trialled include unlimited substitutions (up from five or three, depending on the tournament), as well as throw-ins being played with feet and an automatic 5 minute suspension for ...

Devin Booker Shuts Down Comparisons to Kobe Bryant

With the NBA finals closing in on Game 6, comparisons between Devin Booker and the legendary Kobe Bryant have been a topic of discussion lately, but the Phoenix Sun’s shooting guard shared a blunt response to the matter. In a recent interview with Richard Jefferson, Booker was asked how he feels being compared to Bryant. The 24-year-old made it known that there shouldn’t be any comparisons made to his Hall of Famer mentor. “I haven’t really thought about it much,” Booker stated. “I know it’s something that everybody is gonna ask right now, and I didn’t make that comparison myself. I just leave it at what he’s done for me as a mentor and the advice that he’s left me with, so I try to take bits and pieces of his mentality and approach, but I should never be compared to Kobe Bryant.” A lot ca...
