As sports memorabilia continues to hit an all-time high in popularity, golf fanatics will be excited to hear about a recent item that hit the auction block. Golden Age Golf Auctions recently sold Tiger Woods‘ backup Titleist Scotty Cameron putter for $393,000 USD. The item is also expected to the be the second-highest priced golf memorabilia ever sold. With an opening bid of $25,000 USD, the putter immediately saw a private bidder drive the price up to $27,500 USD in a matter of minutes. Though this is not the putter that Woods has used to win 14 of his 15 majors, the putter was made in 2002 by Scotty Cameron and is expected to be an exact replica of Wood’s Newport 2. Gearing up for the upcoming NBA 2021-22 season, sources state that the local jurisdictions of New York and San Francisco are looking to rev up safety protocols in relation to the coronavirus. As reported by NBA Insider Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, players of certain home markets are required to be vaccinated in order to enter the practice facilities or arenas. Those who have religious or medical reasons may be exempted from the vaccination as well as visiting teams. Franchises who may hold these terms are currently the Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks and Golden State Warriors. Rajon Rondo Rejoins Los Angeles Lakers on 1-Year Deal

According to ESPN‘s NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Rajon Rondo has signed with the Los Angeles Lakers on a one-year $2.6M USD contract. Rondo was traded from the LA Clippers to the Memphis Grizzlies earlier in August as part of a multi-player deal in exchange for Eric Bledsoe. Rondo has now agreed to a contract buyout with the Grizzles and will continue to make his full $7.5M USD salary between the buyout and the new Lakers deal. The 16-year old league veteran was on the Lakers roster for two seasons between 2018 and 2020 and played an important role in the 2020 Championship victory.
