Before suiting up as Batman on Halloween, Snoop Dogg announced his 18th studio album: Take It From a G. The rapper shared the news via a video on Instagram. Though a specific release date has yet to be revealed, the new album is slated to come out in December. In August, Snoop shared a new song dedicated to Nipsey Hussle called “Nipsey Blue.” It’s unclear if that was a stand alone track or will be featured on Take It From a G. See Snoop’s album announcement below. Aside from recording new music, the legendary rapper’s also been vocal about politics this year. Over the summer, Snoop revealed that he’d be voting for the first time...
Source: Scott Legato / Getty If nothing else Snoop Doggy Dogg is a man of his word so when he promised Jemele Hill that he’d get himself a new Lakers tattoo if they won the championship this year, and low and behold, he done went and done did it. To celebrate LeBron and Anthony Davis bringing the City of Angels their 17th NBA title in franchise history, the Doggfather immediately visited famed tattoo artist, Mister Cartoon and got himself a huge Larry O’Brien trophy inked on his arm with the initials “KB” drawn up right under it. Sitting in a chair while the Chicano artist goes to work on his arm, Snoop looks into his camera phone and proudly states “Anything for the Lakers” and immediately taking a shot at Kawhi Leonard’s team stating, “F*ck the Clippers.” That was lowkey uncalled for but...
In the dawn of virtual music festivals, it seems as if a new livestream sprouts from the rotted roots of the pandemic-stricken live music industry every day. From small-scale DJ sets to massive, full-fledged digital music festivals, livestreamed concerts have proven their place in the contemporary music landscape, and they’re not going anywhere anytime soon. Another virtual music fest called Abracadabra Festival has now risen from the ashes of the COVID-19 wreckage. The new four-day streaming event, which doubles as an environmental fundraiser, shared its lineup today ahead of its kickoff at 6:30PM ET (3:30PM PT). Joining Diplo and Tycho at the top of the flier is none other than Snoop Dogg, who is DJing as “DJ Snoopadelic.” Snoop made his DJ debut back in 2018 ...

Source: INDOGGO / INDOGGO Snoop Dogg has managed to keep himself in the conversation by way of his effortlessly cool and charming personality, but also while possessing a strong business sense as well. Now, the Doggfather might need to flip his name to the Ginfather, this after introducing his own brand of the famed spirit, INDOGGO. INDOGGO is the latest business venture from the savvy Uncle Snoop, which takes the botanical nature of gin and, into use the rapper’s words, remixes the classic spirit by adding an all-natural strawberry flavoring. Partnering with Keenan Towns of Trusted Spirits, a beverage supplier known for bringing celebrity wine and spirits brands to life, and Prestige Beverage Group, a known spirits importer, INDOGGO is poised to enter the gin marketplace where some are di...
Snoop Dogg is celebrating Nipsey Hussle’s birthday with a new dedication track, “Nipsey Blue.” The late rapper would have turned 35 tomorrow (Aug. 15). Sampling Dorothy Moore’s 1975 hit version of Bob Montgomery-penned track “Misty Blue,” Snoop goes into full-on melodic mode and sings along with what sounds like Moore. If you listen blues singer’s original version, Snoop stays true to the song and doesn’t really change many of the words — except for the obvious “Misty” for “Nipsey.” Snoop teased the track on Thursday afternoon (Aug. 13) with a social post showing a gif of the LA rapper pour one out for Nipsey at a previous concert. The rappers worked on a number of tracks together including “The Life,” “Upside Down,” “Ice Cream Paint Job (West Coast Remix),” “Snitches Ain’t…,” “Californica...
Source: Kevin.Mazur/INACTIVE / Getty Snoop Dogg has earned the right to be a stern critic of his peers given the fact he is a living legend in the realm of Hip-Hop by all accounts. In a recent interview, the Doggfather rightfully gave praise to Eminem as a top-tier lyricist but says he doesn’t even crack his top 10. Sitting with The Breakfast Club, the D-O-Double-G spoke his mind as he’s known to do regarding his mentor and producer, Dr. Dre, who gave the Long Beach, Calif. OG his big break back in the early ’90s and broke the career of several other artists after his tenure with N.W.A. was in the rearview. When the conversation turned to Dr. Dre’s massive influence and legendary status as a producer, Snoop passionately championed his longtime friend by noting his ear for talent and how he...
