Melvins Announce Fall 2022 “Five Legged Tour”

The Melvins have a heavy year of touring ahead. Just weeks after announcing the summer “Electric Roach Tour,” the sludge veterans have announced an additional 43 dates for Fall 2022, dubbed “The Five Legged Tour.” Beginning September 5th in San Francisco, the US trek makes a point to give fans ample opportunities to see The Melvins. King Buzzo and company have sketched out several shows in multiple states, including a healthy eight stops across California and six stops in Florida. Meshuggah Announce 2022 US Tour with Converge and Torche

Swedish metal veterans Meshuggah have announced a 2022 US tour with support from Converge and Torche. The 19-date outing will launch in late February. Meshuggah have been going strong for nearly 35 years, having formed in 1987, and are pioneers of extreme tech-metal. The entire tour lineup is impressive and intriguing, with Converge being one of the early architects of metalcore, and Torche earning acclaim over the past 15 years for their eclectic mix of sludge and melody. The tour kicks off February 23rd in Silver Spring, Maryland, and runs through a March 20th show in Atlanta. Warish (Riley Hawk) Premiere New Single “Seeing Red”: Stream

Warish, the punk trio led by Riley Hawk, are set to release the new album Next to Pay on April 30th. The band is premiering the LP’s latest single, “Seeing Red”, right here at Heavy Consequence. Riley, a pro skater and son of the legendary Tony Hawk, formed Warish in 2018, but the band has undergone a lineup makeover since their first album, 2019’s Down in Flames. In addition to Riley on vocals and guitar, the trio now features bassist Alex Bassaj and drummer Justin de la Vega (although original drummer Nick “Broose” McDonnell performs on roughly half the tracks on the new album). The band’s heavy sound ranges from Misfits-like horror punk to Bleach-era Nirvana to Black Sabbath doom, with “Seeing Red” falling more into the horror punk category.
