Blink and you may have missed it. Deathpact made quite a scene at this year’s Shambhala Music Festival, returning to the event that hosted the anonymous electronic music artist’s debut back in 2019. After the unfortunate postponement of the famed Canadian music festival two years in a row, Shambhala is set to return to the Salmo River Ranch next summer. The 23rd edition of the family-run festival was initially slated for July 2020, but due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns the gathering was rescheduled for late August 2021. Unfortunately, the event was then shelved for a second time earlier this year. Shambhala Music Festival Postponed to 2022 Due to Uncertainty of COVID-19

Shambhala is the latest music festival to cash in its chips due to the uncertainty of COVID-19. Citing the impact of the pandemic, the organizers of the Canadian dance music fest, which takes place annually at Salmo River Ranch, have pulled the plug on the event’s 2021 edition. Originally scheduled for late July 2020, the festival was eventually moved to August 20-23, 2021 before its postponement to 2022. Ticket-holders may redeem their passes across Shambhala’s 2022, 2023 or 2024 events. Prospective attendees and lodgers were told to expect to receive an email “in the coming months” to register for the year they’d like to attend. Shambhala Music Festival to Open a Campground for Summer 2021

While festival season is still very much up in the air, Shambhala Music Festival just gave fans something to look forward to in summer 2021. Although it is a ways away, the new announcement gives festival-goers something to look forward to. Mat the Alien Paralyzed Following Horrific Mountain Biking Accident

Following a horrific biking accident in the Nanaimo mountain trails, Mat the Alien has sustained serious injuries, leaving him unlikely to walk again.  After the Canadian DJ and producer was thrown off his bike during a ride in early October, he was subsequently airlifted to the hospital, where he is currently in intensive care. Since then, he has received an outpour of support from fans, who have contributed over $144,000 on GoFundMe for his medical expenses at the time of writing.
