The fact is, we’re all thrilled. And Just ...

Sex and the City’s Chris Noth Accused of Sexual Assault by Two Women

Chris Noth has been hit with two separate allegations of sexual misconduct. According to a story published by The Hollywood Reporter, two different women aged 31 and 40, came forward separately months apart — without knowing each other — with allegations that the Sex and the City star sexually assaulted them. Using pseudonyms, the alleged victims assert that their respective encounters with Noth took place in 2004 in Los Angeles and 2015 in New York City. The younger of the two women, a journalist in the entertainment industry, initially reached out to THR via email. “Seeing that he was reprising his role in Sex and the City set off something in me. For so many years, I buried it,” wrote Lily in August. The timing of the SATC reboot helped the woman make the decision to “try to go pub...

Peloton Enlists Chris Noth and Ryan Reynolds for And Just Like That… Response Ad

Earlier this week, shares of Peloton dropped 11% following the premiere of HBO’s Sex and the City sequel series, And Just Like That… ***Spoiler*** In the final scene of the episode, Mr. Big (played by Chris Noth) dies of a heart attack after a 45-minute Peloton ride. The fitness company said it had approved the show’s use of the bike and an appearance by one of its instructors (Jess King), but was unaware of the storyline involving Mr. Big’s death. Now, in a clever bid to turn the publicity into a positive, Peloton has enlisted Noth himself to star in a commercial narrated by Ryan Reynolds. The ad finds North on a romantic getaway with the aforementioned Peloton instructor Jess King. “To new beginnings,” he tells her before glancing towards a pair of Pelotons. “Should we take ano...

And Just Like That… Review: HBO Max Reminds Us Why We Should Never Look Back

[Editor’s note: The following contains spoilers for And Just Like That…, Episode 2, “Little Black Dress.”] The Pitch: The blunt truth of being alive is that there’s no such thing as a happy ending. Everyone has happy and sad moments over the course of their time on this earth, and when the inevitable comes all you can hope for is that it’s not too soon, and that the good outweighed the bad as much as possible. This is an annoying and awful truth, which is just one reason why we’re a culture obsessed with stories, and why the Sex and the City continuation And Just Like That… is both a very welcome trip home to visit old friends, and also an existential crisis in the works. Advertisement A Big Twist: HBO Max deliberately withheld screeners from critics until the moment of the show’s premiere...
