Just one week following his massive “Chronicles Chapter 3” show at the Gorge Amphitheater, Seven Lions and Wooli have released a remix package for their collaboration with Amidy, “Shadows.” The remix EP features longtime Ophelia Records favorite Xavi as well as drum & bass guru REAPER and trance vet Maor Levi. Each producer offers a unique take on “Shadows,” infusing the melodic bass anthem with a diverse sound palette. Xavi’s remix maintains the heaviest feel of the trio released in the EP, as the impassioned sonics of the original have been replaced by a rumbling bassline. REAPER holds nothing back on his edit, similarly taking a heavy route. Amidy’s vocals remain the focal point leading into a dramatic, eerie ...
With a huge performance comes huge surprises. During his momentous Red Rocks show earlier this week, melodic bass superstar Seven Lions showcased a massive, brand new collaboration with Lights. Thankfully, a fan was able to capture the surreal moment in a clip later shared by a fan account dedicated to the producer’s Ophelia Records imprint. The majority of the recording comprises Lights’ scintillating vocals, but viewers are also able to hear a section of a soaring melodic dubstep drop towards the end. Following widespread speculation about who the vocalist was, Lights eventually chimed in with a smoking gun of a tweet containing a series of “eyes” emojis. At the time of this article’s publication, the track has no known name or release date. We’ll keep...

Last year, Seven Lions‘ Ophelia Records imprint released two eclectic compilations featuring dozens of fresh faces. While both EPs were bass-centric, they championed the diversity that Ophelia has displayed since the launch of the label. Today they’re back with yet another excellent compilation. Advent Volume III puts Seven Lions’ tastemaker abilities on full display. Though the majority of names are new to the label, their sound is a perfect match for the vision of Ophelia Records. This installment of the Advent series is more bass-leaning than its predecessors, embracing genres like melodic bass and drum & bass. The EP includes six tracks from newcomers such as MEDZ, Lama & XimFny, Darby, and more. Dimibo, who has released music alongside Se...
