Brad Pitt wasn’t kidding when he hinted last year that major names would soon begin flocking to his Miraval Studios at the famed Château Miraval in the South of France, also the home of his Chateau Miraval winery. Indeed, the first artist to work in the renovated studio is none other than Sade, whose new music will appear on the Sade Adu-led group’s first album since 2010’s Soldier of Love. Sade previously recorded portions of the 1985 album Promise in the original incarnation of the studio, which was built in 1977 by French pianist.composer Jacques Loussier. Sade to Release Career-Spanning This Far Vinyl Box Set

Sade will be taking a trip down memory lane by reissuing all six of her albums in a vinyl box set. The This Far collection, which spans the years of 1984 to 2010, is comprised of Diamond Life, Promise, Stronger Than Pride, Love Deluxe, Lovers Rock and Soldier of Love. The group, which features Sade, Stuart Matthewman (saxophone/guitar), Andrew Hale (keyboards), and Paul Spencer Denman (bass), all were involved in the remastering process, which took place at Abbey Road Studios in London. Over the group’s career, they’ve sold 60 million albums worldwide. Soldier of Love, the last Sade LP came in 2010 and the group last released a pair of songs in 2018 with “Flower of the Universe” and “The Big Unknown.” The set will be released on Oct. 9 via Sony Music. Nigeria: 10 die of coronavirus in Kano, Ogun, three other states

No fewer than seven patients died of coronavirus-related complications in Kano and Ogun states on Friday. Three other patients also died of COVID-19 in Bauchi, Kaduna and Sokoto. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known in its 70th Situation Report on COVID-19 published on Saturday. According to the report, 10 COVID-19 fatalities were recorded in the country as of 11.30 pm on Friday. The 10 new COVID-19 fatalities bring the total deaths recorded in the country to 117. Of the 117 fatalities, 33 died in Lagos, Kano, 18; FCT, four; Borno, 14; Katsina, eight; Bauchi, one; Ogun, four; Kaduna, two; Sokoto, nine; Jigawa, one; Edo, four; Zamfara, three; Oyo, two; Osun, four; Nasarawa, one; Rivers, two; Delta, three; Akwa Ibom, two; Yobe, one and Ekiti one.
