I’ve Studied it Closely—These Five Colours Pair Beautifully With Brown

Brown is the new black.

I’ve Done the Research—4 Major Dress Trends That Will Be Everywhere This Winter

Dresses are forever.

Dua Lipa Debuts Her Versace Collection In a Cutout Buckled Dress With Celeb Guestlist

When it comes to fashion and celebrity collaborations, few are as well-suited as Dua Lipa and Donatella Versace. The "Poison" singer launched her debut Versace collection, called "La Vacanza" (meaning holiday in Italian), with a star-studded show in Cannes on 23 May, marking the first time the Italian fashion house has opened up its design process to a collaborator in this way. The collection itself is a mix of Barbiecore tailoring, chic buckled gowns, and glamorous swimwear. Fun prints of butterfly motifs and monochrome polka dots are threaded throughout the designs, while key pieces have been reworked from past collections for a modern reimagination. Metallic minidresses and signature Medusa jewellery are the icing on the cake, making it a cruise collection that will get your style juic...

I’m Convinced That These Daring 2023 Trends Work for Everyone

If you looked at just one of the runway collections this past season, I’m sure you experienced the jaw-dropping experience that left everyone in the front row in a state of shock. The designs this year were just too good. Many of them showcased a long list of ways to take risks and wear something that will certainly turn heads. A lot of these trends may have been a bit intimidating to see walking down the runway. Even though I’m very experimental with my fashion choices, it would be a challenge for me to pull off some of these full runway looks. However, when you focus on the trends that are being showcased and think about new ways to style them, there’s a lot more than meets the eye. Keep in mind that there are many 2023 trends that I’m obsessed...

Trousers Are Out, and Underwear Is In—6 Risqué Runway Looks That Prove It

In addition to simple, pared-down looks on the spring 2023 runways, the latest fashion season also offered up its fair share of more risqué ensembles, one of which involves ditching trousers entirely and wearing underwear—only. Even more surprising, though, was how alluring the trend turned out to be. Rather than over-the-top or showy, designers like Matthieu Blazy at Bottega Veneta and Victoria Beckham showcased the trouserless look in the most high-brow of manners. What levelled up the concept was the way in which it was styled on the runways, which I suggest you take note of for when you test out the trend IRL. At both of the aforementioned presentations, models ditched trousers and wore just tights instead, paired with classic heels and either a simple kni...

London Has Spoken—These 6 Trends Will Be Everywhere in 2023

London Fashion Week hasn’t been its normal self for a long time now thanks to Covid 19, and this season’s schedule had to be reworked and partially cancelled due to The Queen’s passing. This led some brands, including Burberry and Raf Simons, to decide to cancel their shows altogether as a mark of respect, but the majority of the brands soldiered on, with many acknowledging the period of mourning with moving tributes. Not only are runway shows eye-wateringly expensive to stage and prepare for, but this is, after all, a prime time for designers and their teams, having spent the past six months (at the very least) working tirelessly to produce collections, the show circuit provides the main opportunity to gather exposure and shore up your company’s fina...

These Colour Trends Are Going to Dominate the Rest of 2022

If you pay attention to social media or have familiarised yourself with our autumn/winter 2022 trend report, you’ll already know that pink will be one of the season’s hottest hues. And not just blush pink—instead, picture the brightest iteration you can imagine. There you go. But the fun doesn’t stop there! There’s also a shade of incredibly striking blue that I know fashion people will flirt with over the next six months, as well as a sleek update on summer’s obsession with bright yellow. However, sitting alongside them are some incredibly chic and versatile tones that, when you wear them, no word of a lie, will make you look rich. Like, old money rich. I don’t know about you, but that’s always my goal. Then finally, we’ll look at ...

I’ve Just Come Back From Copenhagen Fashion Week—These Trends Stood Out

It’s been a long, long time since I last attended Copenhagen Fashion Week and during that period the city’s fashion landscape has changed immeasurably. When I came many moons ago, influencers were barely a twinkle in the industry’s eye, the Scandi look still centered around a darkly-hued minimalism, and even Ganni was still relatively under-the-radar: Things have really changed and the schedule here is now as hyped as can be. Brands that don’t even originate from Denmark now fly their teams and collections in to capture the attentions of the new fashion capital’s coolest: Rixo and Rejina Pyo were just a few of the London-based brands in attendance, and it was a pleasure to see them in a different setting. The caché of Scandi-girl approval is now firmly up there with any...

9 Extra-Cool Trends That Are Already Happening in Paris

As pared-back as their archetypal style might seem, the French are no strangers to surrealism. In fact, the artistic movement began in Paris back in 1917, and it has been woven into the fashion fabric of the city that couture calls home ever since. First came the provocative creations of Elsa Schiaparelli from the early 21st century. She embellished gowns with giant lobster illustrations and crafted hats that looked like upturned shoes. Her influence can be keenly felt today, most directly through the incredible work that Schiaparelli’s new(ish) creative director, Daniel Roseberry, is doing, reinterpreting the brand’s archive and moving forward with truly avant-garde ideas in what has become an otherwise fairly commercial world. Celebriti...

Copenhagen Fashion Week Just Made These 6 Cool Trends Go Viral

Copenhagen calls the shots. The Danish capital has established itself as the preeminent fashion week in terms of trend-setting prowess, street style photography, and sustainability—and it’s only getting stronger every season. This has positioned Copenhagen Fashion Week as a can’t-miss event on the global fashion calendar, not just for me personally, but for a slew of other international editors, buyers, and influencers.  One thing I love about Copenhagen is how its schedule expertly mixes little-known brands like Jade Cropper and A.Roege Hove with established labels like Ganni and Stine Goya. This gives everyone the best of both worlds: On one hand, you get the inside scoop on new brands to start wearing before everyone else catches on. On the other end...
