Falz and Runtown lead End Sars protest in Lagos
Nigerian musicians Falz and Runtown have come out to lead the End Sars protesting going on in Lagos. Last Sunday, Runtown had announced that he would be on ground for a protest to end Sars with the kick off point at Lekki Phase 1 toll gate on Thursday, October 8. Today, Falz teamed up with Runtown as the two came out to lead the protest. With these celebrities leading the front, many Nigerian youths have come out in mass to join them. So far the protest is peaceful as protesters carry placards bearing messages for the government and Nigerian police. See some photos and clips below. Runtown has refused to back down from planned End Sars protest as he insists Thursday is Thursday. The ‘Mad Over You’ hitmaker last Sunday volunteered to lead the End Sars protest as Nigerians continued to complain about the incessant killings by the operatives. He announced to fans that the protest would hold on Thursday 8th October 2020. Runtown affirmed that the protest would still hold as Naira Marley backed down on his planned protest today. Runtown to lead protest to end Sars
Douglas Agu better known as Runtown has promised to lead a protest to end Sars in Nigeria. With the ongoing outrage on Twitter over Sars brutality and extra judicial killings, Nigerian singer Runtown has spoken against the issue and also promised to lead a protest. In his tweets, Runtown announced that on October 8, he would lead the End Sara protest and it would start from Lekki Phase 1, Toll Gate at 10AM prompt. He has also called on interested parties to turn up for the planned protest.
