Emma Raducanu was officially awarded an MBE by King Charles on 29 Nov. for her services to tennis. The 20-year-old accepted the honour at an investiture ceremony in Windsor Castle, and said after the reception, “It’s been great to receive my honour today from his Majesty the King – I feel extremely grateful.” The tennis star was awarded the accolade after winning the US Open in 2021 at just 18 years old, and becoming the first British woman to win a grand slam singles title since 1977.
