Serie A giants looking to sign Liverpool star for an affordable price: report

AS Roma are looking to land the signature of Dejan Lovren from Liverpool during this summer’s transfer, a report from Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Sport Witness) claims. The Croatian has struggled for regular first-team football with the Reds this term and he has been restricted to only nine starts in the Premier League. With less than 14 months remaining on his contract, he has been fancied to head through the exit door and it is reported that Roma could lure him to the Serie A. The Giallorossi have been in discussions with Manchester United over a permanent deal for Chris Smalling (currently on loan with them) but they are unlikely to afford the £17m price tag. UEFA releases possible dates for Champions League games

UEFA’s plan to complete the Champions League and Europa League continues. The plan says that they will be played throughout the month of August once the leagues are done in July. UEFA have an idea which is to end the season by the end of August. Therefore, the domestic leagues need to be completed by the end of July. The proposal is for the remaining last 16 games to be played in the first week of the month. On 26th and 29th August, Gdansk and Istanbul will host the Europa League and Champions League finals respectively. ‘Marca’ says that they will try and stick to that instead of playing both the finals at the same venue. £180,000-a-week forward has made the decision to leave Arsenal this summer: report

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has told Arsenal that he wants to join AS Roma on a permanent deal when the transfer window reopens,  Corriere dello Sport claims. The Armenia international fell out-of-favour under ex-boss Unai Emery at the beginning of the season and he was therefore loaned out to Roma for the 2019/2020 campaign. His temporary stint has been hampered by three separate injuries but he has still managed to impress for the Giallorossi with six goals and four assists from 17 appearances. Roma boss Paulo Fonseca recently revealed that he would like to keep the playmaker at the club and it appears that Mkhitaryan shares the same opinion with regards to his future.
