Going down this September 9th-11th, 2022 at Ontario Place, Rolling Loud Toronto will welcome mainstays Lil Uzi Vert, Migos, Roddy Ricch, Trippie Redd, Lil Yachty, and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie. During his headlining performance, the rapper revealed to the crowd that, ahead of the planned release of the forthcoming soundtrack to Netflix’s Entergalactic, he’s actually been hard at work on another project. “I have Entergalactic coming in the summer, and I wanna drop another album before that,” Cudi said. “I got some tasty surprises and I’m really excited about all this new s–t, this new music, to give to you guys. Earlier this month, 10 people ranging in age from nine to 27 died at Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival after being trampled in a large crowd surge. Now, in an apparent response to the tragedy, the hip-hop festival Rolling Loud has announced that its upcoming California event will only be open to audience members age 18 or older “in light of recent events.” In a statement posted to Twitter noting they “want everyone to rage safely,” the Rolling Loud organizers wrote: “We welcome everyone to experience our festivals, however, in light of recent events, we will be implementing an 18+ policy specific only to our upcoming 2021 California festival. Rolling Loud New York 2021 came to a close on Saturday (October 30th) after a first day dominated by hometown rappers was followed by J. Cole’s unforgettable performance in a torrential downpour. Inclimate weather was once again in the forecast, but this time around, festivalgoers came more prepared for the elements, bringing along ponchos or rain jackets.
