Journey will hit the road next month on a North American tour, and you can expect a familiar face to be among them: according to guitarist Neal Schon, original keyboardist Gregg Rolie will perform with the band for the first time in over four decades. Rolie helped found Journey back in 1973 and left the band in 1980. This past November, Schon teased the idea of a reunion, tweeting a photo of himself and Rolie with the caption, “2 original founding members. I think my brother Gregg Rolie should join us for 2023 tour. What do you think friends? The Walkmen have announced they are reuniting for their first proper shows in a decade. The pair of hometown concerts will take place at New York City’s Webster Hall on April 26th and 27th. “Back in 2013, an unnamed Walkmen band member (Peter Bauer) announced to the Washington Post that we were going on an ‘extreme hiatus,’” said frontman Hamilton Leithauser in a statement. “I assumed that meant there would be a lot of monster energy drinks and maybe that red-headed snowboarder guy would be hanging around a lot… but none of that actually happened. The Moldy Peaches are set to reunite for their first live performance in over a decade at the Los Angeles premiere of Meet Me in the Bathroom, the new documentary about the early oughts New York City music scene. The premiere event is scheduled for October 27th at the Fonda Theatre in L.A, and marks Kimya Dawson and Adam Green’s first time performing together as The Moldy Peaches since 2011. The programming also includes a screening of Meet Me in the Bathroom as well as a discussion between moderator Tim Heidecker, directors Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern, and author Lizzy Goodman — whose book inspired the film. Something Corporate recently staged a mini reunion at lead singer Andrew McMahon’s 40th birthday celebration, and they’ll play at least one more show next year at the 2023 installment of When We Were Young (grab your tickets here starting on Friday, October 14th). Trent Reznor reunited with several members of Nine Inch Nails’ ’90s lineup, including Richard Patrick, Chris Vrenna, Danny Lohner, and Charlie Clouser, during a special hometown show in Cleveland on Saturday night (September 24th). The reunion took place the night after Reznor and a group of his former bandmates appeared for a live Q&A at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, where only some of the rotating lineup was inducted in 2020.
