Queens of the Stone Age are reissuing their acclaimed self-titled debut as well as two other albums. The band’s 1998 self-titled LP will be back in print for the first time in a decade. Available on October 21st, the vinyl reissue will feature the album’s original tracklist and artwork by Frank Kozik. It’ll be pressed on both standard black and limited edition opaque orange vinyl. Mammoth WVH’s 2021 self-titled debut album is receiving a digital deluxe edition on November 11th with three additional songs, including the Japanese-only bonus track “Talk & Walk” that is now streaming. Considering Wolfgang Van Halen spent many years self-recording the album, it makes sense that there’s a few worthy additional tracks. “Talk & Walk” is a particularly fun tune, shifting from twinkly arpeggios to grungy ’90s power-pop that harkens back to early Foo Fighters. According to the press release, the song was occasionally played during Mammoth WVH’s 2021 tour and became an immediate fan favorite. Bruce Springsteen is celebrating the 40th anniversary of his sixth studio album, Nebraska, with a special vinyl reissue. Originally released on September 30th, 1982, Nebraska is Vinyl Me, Please’s Essentials Record of the Month for October 2022. The reissue was pressed on exclusive Black Smoke vinyl, with an art print by Justin A. McHugh. It was half-speed mastered by renowned recording engineer Barry Grint (Madonna, Sean Combs, The Beatles). The listening notes booklet was penned by journalist Peter Ames Carlin, author of the Bruce Springsteen biography Bruce. The Police are revisiting their 1981 album Ghost in the Machine by reissuing the LP on a limited edition vinyl picture disc. The project arrives on November 4th. The Ghost in the Machine reissue features The Police’s originally intended tracklisting for the album, as well as three additional tracks: “I Burn for You,” which first appeared on the soundtrack to Brimstone and Treacle, “Once Upon a Daydream,” and “Shambelle.” Four more songs, “Spirits in the Material World,” “Rehumanize Yourself,” “One World (Not Three),” and “Hungry for You,” now include the original audio of drummer Stewart Copeland counting in the tracks. Regina Spektor has set a release date for and detailed the upcoming 20th anniversary box set of her debut album 11:11. Out on August 26th, the self-released LP has long been unavailable in physical form since the singer-songwriter first dropped it back in July 2001. In addition to a remastered vinyl edition of 11:11 with its original tracklist, the reissue will include a collection of live performances of never-before-heard songs from the era recorded by Spektor’s father — aptly titled Papa’s Bootlegs.
