In a scene titled “T-Shirt Gun”, one of Nugent’s employees meets him before a political rally to show him the high-powered t-shirt cannon that he prepared for use on stage. Nugent jokes about putting a silencer on it and the two laugh, but as Nugent approaches the scrum of police officers and screaming fans, he accidentally takes the stage with a different long rifle. Hold onto your beakers, the 1963 original version of The Nutty Professor, starring comedy legend Jerry Lewis, is getting a reboot. According to Deadline, the forthcoming film will be produced by the same team behind Scream 5 — that’s Project X folks James Vanderbilt, William Sherak, and Paul Neinstein. As of now, no directors or actors are attached to the project yet. In the 1963 sci-fi comedy, Lewis played the role of nerdy chemistry professor Julius Kelp, who, thanks to a magic potion, is transformed into a Casanova-like character named Buddy Love. It has now been announced that a reboot of the series will be coming to the Peacock streaming service, putting the focus squarely on Dash’s former character, Dionne. Deadline exclusively reports that the Clueless reboot has reached a development deal with the streaming service and has veteran television writers Jordan Reddout and Gus Hickey at the helm. New episodes of Beavis and Butt-Head are coming to Comedy Central. Mike Judge is resurrecting his beloved Gen X cartoon as part of a new deal with the cable network.
