Lanez, who was born in Canada, may face deportation and up to 23 years in prison. During their opening statements, prosecutors alleged Lanez shot Megan in the foot while shouting, “Dance, bitch, dance!” in the midst of an argument after a pool party they attended in the Hollywood Hills during the early morning hours of July 12th, 2020. Lanez was initially charged with one count of assault with a firearm and another gun possession charge in October 2020. Just before the trial began on December ...
Looks like we can add financial planner to Cardi B’s résumé. Earlier this week, the superstar schooled a fan who criticized her wealth on social media. The exchange started when Cardi tweeted, “We going through a recession…..Merry Christmas,” along with a festive Christmas tree emoji. The statement then prompted a follower to clap back, “Says the rapper worth 40 million,” using a GIF of an irritated man nodding his head and rolling his eyes. Well, naturally, the “Hot Sh–” rapper wasn’t going to take that shade lying down. “I’m worth more [than] that and guess what? If I don’t save, work and budget I could lose it too!” she replied. “What makes you think that no matter how much money you got you can’t lose it all if you don’t manage your money correctly. I too have bills, responsibilities a...

This marks the first time the two chart-toppers have teamed up — in a recent interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, Rosalía sh...
Diddy took to social media on Tuesday (Dec. 13) to shoot down rumors about his relationship with Yung Miami. “@yungmiami305 is not my side chick. Never has been, never will be,” he tweeted. “She’s very important and special to me, and I don’t play about my Shawty Wop. I don’t discuss things on the internet and I will not start today. “So think what you want,” he added minutes later in a follow-up tweet before concluding, “But know that if you do something to hurt mine, I’m gonna to come to your house and we’re gonna talk about it like human beings. LOVE.” The mogul’s statement on Twitter appears to be in response to the City Girls rapper’s heated back-and-forth the day prior with DJ Akademiks over Diddy’s newborn daughter Love Sean Combs. (In a tweet, the DJ accused Diddy of having a “side...
Rap Song of the Week breaks down all the hip-hop tracks you need to hear every Friday. Check out the full playlist here. This week, YG and Lil Wayne reunite on “Miss My Dawgs.” YG and Lil Wayne have been frequent collaborators over the past decade or so, first teaming up on the remix to YG’s breakout hit “My N****.” Earlier this week, YG acknowledged their close relationship by gifting his “favorite rapper” with a red 4Hunnid chain during the video shoot for their new collaboration, “Miss My Dawgs.” Featuring melancholy, piano-driven production by Gibbo and Ambezza, “Miss My Dawgs” serves as a tribute to YG’s late friend and rapper Slim 400, who was fatally shot one year ago today. The track’s title might be a nod toward Wayne’s 2004 track “I Miss My Dawgs,” too, as the rappers r...

For a nine-year period between 2004 and 2013, Kanye West was a visionary musical force, who amassed a catalog unrivaled by any of his peers. At the peak of his powers, West was one of the most creative, provocative, and influential artists to ever exist, whose records changed the sound of hip-hop. Now, he’s just a Nazi. On Thursday, December 1st, West joined alt-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones on his InfoWars talk show. Over the course of a two-hour appearance, West proudly declared himself a Nazi, questioned the existence of the Holocaust, and praised Adolf Hitler for doing “good things.” He railed against “Zionists” as “evil,” and even pulled out a net and bottle of Yoo-hoo chocolate milk, which he claimed was longtime Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in an apparent attemp...

Kanye West’s antisemitism is a bridge too far, even for Elon Musk. In one of his first acts of censorship since assuming control of Twitter, the self-proclaimed “free speech absolutist” deleted a series of West’s tweets featuring a swastika and imposed a 12-hour suspension on West’s account. West reacted to the news by sharing a text message from Musk, in which the Twitter CEO wrote, “Sorry, but you have gone too far. This is not love.” West also posted a shirtless photo of Musk, which he declared to be “my final tweet.” Related Video Musk responded to West via his own Twitter account. “This is fine,” Musk tweeted in response to the shirtless photo. “This is not,” he added in response to West’s use of the swastika. Kanye West and Kim Kardashian finalized their divorce on Tuesday, with West agreeing to pay $200,000 a month in child support. TMZ reports that Kardashian and West will have “equal access” to their four children. In addition to child support, West is responsible for 50% of the children’s educational and security expenses. Given recent events, it is reasonable to wonder whether West can actually afford such a financial nut on a monthly basis. Due to his recent antisemitic behavior, West has lost over a billion dollars in net worth and lucrative brand partnerships with GAP, adidas, and Balenciaga. He’s also currently without a record contract, was dropped by his talent agency, and saw a string of planned concerts canceled. Kanye West walked off the set of a live podcast taping on Monday after being challenged over his antisemitic views. West and his posse of white nationalists, Milo Yiannopoulos and Nick Fuentes, appeared on Tim Pool’s Timcast podcast. Pool actually began the interview by asking West about his recent dinner with Donald Trump, but West immediately took the conversation in a different direction. “I just got to go to the heart of this antisemite claim,” West said as he launched into an incoherent rant in which he accused Gap, adidas, Vogue, former presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump, and even his personal trainer of participating in a Jewish-led conspiracy to end his career.
