Hardcore vets Terror have announced a new album, Pain Into Power, arriving May 6th. The band has also shared the lead single “Can’t Help But Hate” featuring George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher of Cannibal Corpse. The new song clocks in at a minute and 26 seconds — ample time for the Los Angeles punks to rip through a blaster. Corpsegrinder is right at home amid the hardcore flurry, providing some beefy background growls to complement Terror frontman Scott Vogel’s aggressive throat-shredding vocals. Devil Master have announced their eagerly anticipated sophomore album, Ecstasies of Never Ending Night. Ahead of the April 29th release date, the Philadelphia-based band has shared the video for lead single “Acid Black Mass.” The new album sees Devil Master exploring a more mystical and darkly numinous path in lieu of the self-described “childish Satanism” of their debut album. This is best exemplified in the album art for Ecstasies, which depicts an enchanting fantasy-scape. That doesn’t mean the band has dropped its core black metal and punk rock influences. Laura Jane Grace of Against Me!, Tim Kasher of Cursive, and Anthony Green of Circa Survive are teaming up for a co-headlining tour that will feature the trio of rock musicians participating in each other’s sets. Taking place throughout May, it’s called “The Carousel Tour.” The trek will feature a rotating cast of supporting acts including Oceanator, Mikey Erg, and Home Is Where, and kicks off in Minneapolis on May 1st. Rise Against have announced Summer 2022 North American tour dates. To mark the occasion, the Chicago punk band has offered up a new remix by IDLES. We previously reported on Rise Against’s spring North American dates, which precede a slew of European performances and festival appearances. After that, the band will embark on the newly announced summer leg, rounding out a busy 2022 itinerary. IDLES Announce 2022 North American Tour, Share “CRAWL!” Video: Stream
IDLES have expanded their 2022 international tour by adding a string of North American dates in the spring and fall. The first of the new dates is a March 23rd show in Mexico City. It will be followed by appearances during both weekends of Coachella sandwiched around concerts in Denver and Salt Lake City. The British post-punks will return to North America in late August for a second leg including stops in Kansas City, Toronto, Pittsburgh, Brooklyn, and Washington, DC. Rise Against Announce 2022 North American Tour
Next year will be a big one for Rise Against, as the Chicago band will take their “Nowhere Generation” tour on the road again, announcing a new run of North American shows. Pennywise and Rotting Out will support the newly announced dates. The group had already booked some Canadian shows for early April, and now they’ll stay on the road for additional North American dates through the end of the month. They’ll follow that outing with a European run in June. Tickets are available starting Wednesday, December 15th via Ticketmaster.
