#EndSARS: Shooting as Lagos government imposes curfew
Men in Military uniform reportedly stormed the venue of the #EndSARS protesters in Lekki area of Lagos, last night, shooting indiscriminately to disperse them. This action followed a curfew imposed by the Lagos State Government, following the violent dimension the protest had assumed in the state. It could however not be ascertained if anyone was killed. But unconfirmed report said some persons died, while scores were injured. Information received from protesters who managed to flee the scene revealed that the armed security men that fired the shots stormed the venue unnoticed, switched off the lights before releasing volleys of bullets. A popular female disc jockey, DJ Switch, has taken to her Instagram Live to show the aftermath of the shoot out at Lekki Toll Gate. It has been reported that the peaceful protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate have been shot at by Nigerian law enforcement agents. In the live video, the disc jockey streamed where she and other peaceful protesters tried to remove a bullet from the leg of a victim of the shoot out. They tried to remove the bullet from the man’s leg with what appeared to be a pair of tweezers after they had sterilized it with fire from a lighter and alcohol. At least three people have been shot dead during a clash between thugs and police in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, on Tuesday, witnesses say. It was gathered that police opened fire at hundreds of youth during #EndSARS protest Tuesday morning. As a result, some thugs launched an attack on a police station in Ojoo, Ibadan. At least five protesters who were present at the scene told newsmen that six other protesters are severely injured. The pictures and videos of the victims are also trending on social media. The latest development has brought the number of death victims to no fewer than 16 since the beginning of the protest against police brutality. Lagos curfew: #EndSARS protesters agree to stop road blockage
The leaders of the #EndSARS protesters along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway have said they will lift the blockage along the expressway for vehicles to be able to move into Lagos by 2pm (today). This followed the announcement by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to impose a 24-hour curfew on the state effective 4 pm. Cross River workers protest removal of names from payroll
Some civil servants whose names were removed from the payroll of the Cross River Government on Monday in Calabar picketed the state secretariat complex, demanding reinstatement. The protesters carried placards with various inscription such as “Ayade pay us our salaries, “No Trade Union in Cross River”, “We will protest until we are reinstated”, among others. Security forces head off anti-government protests in Zimbabwe

A group of protesters toppled down a statue of Confederate General Albert Pike in Washington, D.C. on Friday night.
