Less than two months after his dreamy Chasing The Golden Hour, Pt. 4 mixtape, GRiZ is back to ensure the music never stops with a new EP, Bangers[7].Zip. It’s been over two years since his last Bangers.ZIP EP. Back and better than ever, 7 lives up to the hype of its predecessors with three dizzying dubstep tracks. GRiZ’s kicks off the EP with “Skydive,” an anthemic bass record with ProbCause and Chrishira Perrier. Then comes the distorted, heavy-hitting cut “Laser Fire,” followed by the hip-hop and dubstep hybrid “MEGAZORD.” The latter track also features the two longtime collaborators, whose contributions to GRiZ’s wobbly, funk-driven sound are as potent as ever. GRiZ Taps ProbCause and Chrishira Perrier for New Dubstep Anthem, “Skydive”
It’s been a momentous year of music releases for GRiZ, and with only two months left, he’s not showing any signs of slowing down. Following last month’s masterful and dreamy fourth installment of his Chasing The Golden Hour mixtape series, GRiZ is back with a dose of dubstep in his new single, “Skydive.” Featuring frequent collaborators ProbCause and Chrishira Perrier, “Skydive” comes wrapped in chaotic layers of wobbly bass and distorted sound design. While the two contributed to the funky track “Keep Bouncin'” from CTGH4, “Skydive” marks a dramatic shift thanks to its heavy-hitting qualities. After announcing his latest project a few weeks ago, the prolific producer has released his seventh studio album Rainbow Brain alongside an immersive performance video. Back and bangin’, GRiZ reaffirms his place as the premier producer for trippy dubstep and bass music with the unveiling of his latest EP, Bangers[5].Zip. Complete with three new tracks, the EP is the fifth installment of his independently released Bangers EP series and follows November’s Bangers[4].Zip. The EP includes “The Baddest,” full of wobbly distortion and high energy bass, and “Spaceship Ride,” a rock & roll-infused standout featuring vocals from GRiZ himself.
